Molly's 2nd Birthday Party
So the party went great but there was even more drama/issues before
it. Nothing too awful but it put a damper on the good times. First off
my sister and her family couldn't come and it did rain heavily all day
with a tornado warning at one point, then BIL was sick with the runs all
weekend and to top it all off poor Molly got an ear infection for her
birthday. Friday was rough and I thought Molly was just cranky and
didn't want to do pictures (with Maggie and her cousin - we got NO good
ones of Molly) or nap because family had been arriving all day. Then
she woke up screaming crying Sat morning and it occurred to me that she
might have an EI since she has been congested for about a week. So
called the pedi and got a 10AM appt and it turns out she did have one.
She is better today but most of the weekend she was very clingy to me
and crying a lot from the pain and hard to soothe, which made it hard to
help her or get much done for the party. But she was pretty good once
the party started and had her good/happy moments too.
Here are some pics of the party itself. I'll do another post with the party details and pics of the stuff but this one is all for Molly - my baby who turned 2
The birthday girl. She was still pretty unhappy from the EI and so we skipped shoes and any hair accessories.
She loved the party hats and her dress
The ice cream set was in demand. Molly has her foot on it to claim it.
She liked her new coloring marker from Pappy, keeping it out of her mouth was another story
Clapping for cake - she really enjoyed the cake and ate her entire piece.
She needed a quick bath after cake
And then she was all smiles, which made me happy to see she was finally starting to feel a bit better.
And if you simply must all the pictures from the party because she is just too adorable - here they are.

That cake is awesome! I am so impressed.
Glad to hear it was a good time despite the weather and various illnesses (it's always something, isn't it?).

Seriously that cake is fantastic! It looks like she had a wonderful birthday despite the EI! I love the last picture, she has the most beautiful big blue eyes.
Tracy - you outdid yourself. I clicked over to the photos and they are just lovely. Molly is one lucky little girl, you plan amazing parties. I'm so sorry things didn't go as planned but ti sounds like it was still a whole lot of fun.
