Preemies

prayers for our baby girl

Yesterday she had 9 Bradys two required bagging. One I was holding her, she turned blue then purple and it took a good few minutes to bring her back. I lost it and had to walk away. She is back on CPAP from High Flo and now they are worried she may have another infection. Her white count keeps dropping. She has gotten a blood transfusion and is on antibiotics again. They said it could be from her vaccines but it doesn't fully explain the white count dropping.

Any thoughts and prayers would be appreciated.

  • Lots of T&Ps coming your way. My LO had an episode like that when DH was holding him and I freaked out! I couldn't hold him for a few days and I just cried. I completely understand why you had to walk away. I hope this is just a slight set back and your LO will be moving forward again soon!
  • Setbacks like this are SO disheartening and it's even worse when it happens while you're there. Keep your head up, she'll get through it! I'll be praying for you and her!

  • Sam did that twice, where he had to go from CPAP to vent. A's, B's and D's will be primary cause for our grey hairs, but I am sure that your baby girl will get through it! She's such a fighter. I hope they find the cause and fix it right away. Prayers for you and her.

  • Lots of t+p's coming your way.  Episodes like that are sooo scary (Andrew had many baggings, unfortunately.)  I hope she doesn't have an infection.  FWIW, when Andrew had his vaccines he had a bunch of bad desats/bradys (and he was almost double the size of Addison when he had them.) He also had tons of transfusions - 17 of them - with the last one being just a few weeks before discharge. I know every baby is different, but just wanted to let you know he went through a lot and got through it ok - and I hope your strong girl does too. (Not that it makes it any easier to watch...you're in my thoughts.)

  • Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that :( It sounds so scary - of course you're in my thoughts and prayers! I just had Tristan three weeks ago...recognizing a lot of names from the tri-boards who also delivered early. We'll all hold each other up <3
