Long Island Babies

Can anyone recommend a Nanny-Nassau County Area?

Hi Ladies,

I am fairly new to Long Island and live in Freeport. I commute to the city for work and have my 3 year old daughter currently in Daycare. I am 6 months preg with my 2nd due in May. My daughter will start pre-k in September. And so I need someone to both drop her off and pick her up from School. And I was thinking instead of taking my newborn to daycare if it would be less expensive to hire a Nanny to watch the baby during the day and pick up my daughter from school until I get home from work. If anyone can recommend a good Nanny/care taker, who could come to my house daily Id greatly appreciate it!

  • I don't have one to recommend, but we found our Nanny on SitterCity.Com.  She wasn't the first one that we tried on this site, but we have been really happy with her.  Just give yourself enough time to be able to try out more than one in case the first one you find doesn't work out.  In the past we have found nannies on Craig's List, but this time SitterCity worked much better for us.  Good luck.  Finding a good Nanny is a lot of work, but it is worth it once you find reliable child care.  It makes all of the difference when you can count on your child care coverage.

  • I can recommend my sitter, she's in Westbury very close to Roosevelt Field Mall.  email me at barco_g@yahoo.com if you're interested in her services.  She's great with my baby and I've know her quite a long time.  She also babysits for a couple of other friends.
