I was just tasked with planning a bachelorette party; and this is my first time, so I need some help with ideas! She isn't someone who likes to get too crazy, so strippers are definitely out. But she is social and likes to drink. So I thought I would turn to you lovely ladies for ideas - if you have planned one or loved yours, I need some suggestions! Thanks!

Mine was super low key. We actually did a combined bachelor/bachelorette party. We had dinner at a hibachi place and then went for drinks. It was awesome. We share so many couple friends that it was easier to just do it all together. And we loved it.

DH has been married before and had a "real" bachelor party last time. He said he didn't want that again. So it wasn't a problem for either of us to do it that way. Although I understand why some couples might not like to.

Okay then the first half of my bparty wouldn't have been for her... We did end up at a bar at the end of the night. We had a limo take us where we wanted to go and it was fun with all the silly props and masks my girls bought me. And drinking in the limo was a good time.

I really didn't want to go to a bar, so my sister took us to a comedy show. It was so much fun! I wore my little crown though so of course I got picked on. But I don't think I've ever laughed so hard.

We met up at my parents house, had member shaped cupcakes and sucked whip cream off bananas. Then they gave me a shirt with lifesavers sewn to it that said "Suck for a Buck" and we went to my favorite bars to sell my candy. We went to a bar that is owned by a former p0rn star and he gave us the private tour of the toy room and gave me a signed bottle of champagne.

For my sister's we went out to dinner and then to a couple bars.

If I'd had my way for mine, we'd have gone wine tasting. That's what I really wanted, but this stupid friend of my sister's (who wasn't even in my bridal party) convinced my sister to go with the above-mentioned plan instead. It ended up being fun, but wasn't at all what I'd have planned for myself.

For my bachelorette party we took a huge limo and went to a club that held nightly drag shows (like professionaly drag queens with full out costumes and singing... think "The Birdcage." It was awesome!!! After we all went to the downtown area and hit up some fun clubs, then all passed out at my cousins house. Everyone really enjoyed it, even my very Southern Christian MIL (see pic below haha)

We went out to a fun (great food, louder than normal music in the background, fun atmorsphere) restaurant for food & drinks, then to my MOH's house to open gifts and play a few games. It was perfect for me!
I also hosted one for a friend of mine, she's very low key and "good" so we couldn't do anything too wild. I did food & drinks at my house, had all the ladies to Advice Cards for her honeymoon night & made her read them, played a few games, and had a FUN PARTY! It was absolutely perfect and very educational

We started at my house where we all met up & had a couple drinks. Then we decorated my friends' car with stickers and flags (some kit she bought) and we drove down to San Diego. My sister got us a couple rooms. We went out to dinner, and then we went to couple clubs/bars. Honestly, I dont remember too much. Embarrassed

I do know that it was a blast and we have some hilarious blackmail photos because of it. We were gonna do Vegas, but all of my best friends have babies and couldn't get away for more than one night. I had a great time!

LOL This made me laugh thinking back to my bachelorette party. DH and I had our respective parties on the same night up in Athens, GA (college drinking town). We all started out together for dinner and then went our separate ways.

My MOH had made a shirt for me -- on the back it said, "Sorry boys, this snatch is taken!" And of course we all had the penis whistles, straws, etc.

Long story short, we all got trashed, ended up running into MH's group again (who were also all trashed). From what I've been told, the bars were shutting down but we wouldn't leave until they started threatening to call the cops on us. Whoopsie!!!

Oh that's great! You're an awesome friend for doing that! I never planned one before and I do have one to plan soon, but I haven't started. lol but I have until July and most of the other girls have been taking over since I'm out of state.

Yeah I am like that too, no strippers allowed! For mine we went out to dinner and then to a comedy show. It was low key and fun. My MOH made shirts for everyone to wear that said "brial entourage" and mine said bride of course, they were cute. We also wore little tiaras. She made them gift bags that had some stationary in them and some other little trinkets too. It was really fun. Another idea that we had which is a little bit more naughty but not too out there was a pole dancing class. A friend of a friend did one for her party and the teacher actually did it in her home and brought the pole to her. It looked like a blast! Have fun planning!

Mine was pretty low key...and I am not a fan of strippers or being adorned with male body parts... My girls took me to a dueling piano bar where we played a couple games, had some drinks and appetizers, and I was invited to sit on the piano while being serenaded at one point.The theme was "Vintage Hollywood" so the girls got me a white flapper dress to wear around for the night.

The one game I absolutely loved. The invitation said to bring a pair of panties in the bride's size that fits your personal style. All of the panties were then tossed in a large bowl and I was to then pick a pair out and guess who's personality they fit. For every one that I got right the person who they "belonged" to had to drink a shot or if I got it wrong I had to take a shot. I ended up with a whole new wardrobe of panties, and was pretty darn shnockerd for the rest of the night.

One of my girls made a "dare bouquet". Throughout the night I had to pull a flower from my bouquet, read off and then perform whatever dare happened to be on the tag attached to the flower. I had to do everything from a cartwheel to finding a guy with MH's same name and getting him to propose to me (tell you what...the guy that I found did a better job then MH did...shhhh don't tell him I said that though).

Our wedding was OOT and most of our guests and bridal party lived quite far from each other, so for us it was easiest to have the stag/ette a couple days before our wedding.

The girls went for mani/pedis, the guys went golfing. We had separate dinners and then met up at the only bar in town after. It was a Thursday night, super dead but we still managed to have a little fun.

Ohh i forgot the game!! Everyone brings the bride a new pair of panties. When she opens them up she has to guess who gave her which ones. I really liked that game because it added to my collection!!

This is awesome and exactly what my BMs wanted to do for me but my slacker MOH totally flaked and didn't do anything so it ended up being too late to plan it. My BMs did the best they could in the little time they had though.

We all wore golf attire and played "9 holes of golf" aka 9 bars.One of my BM brought a golf score card and wrote down what I drank at each bar. here is a whole game associated with it, but we didn't end up doing it. It was a cute idea though!

I made/bought "member" everything : cake, balloons, straws, name tags, wall deco, pasta, ice cubes....

Games: "Pin the junk on the hottie" (or something similar to that, like "pin the tail on the donkey"). Sex trivia (a stack of trivia questions that I bought online). Banana ring toss (big inflatable banana with rings). Celebrity Hottie (printed pics of male celebs shirtless & covered their faces, all the girls had to guess who they were). Fiance Trivia (asked the FI a bunch of questions. Asked to same questions to the bride, for every one that she got wrong, she had a put a piece of gum in her mouth).

My MOH emailed my DH beforehand with a list of questions. I had to answer the questions and for everyone I got right, I got a pink glow bracelet on one arm and whenever I got one wrong, I got a blue/green bracelet on the other arm. I was covered in bracelets by the time we went to the bar, and the questions were awesome and totally random. eg, what's his favorite commercial right now, If he was a pirate what would his name be, If he could do anything for a living what would it be, Name a song to describe your relationship, etc....

Mine was pretty low key also. I wanted my underage sister and pregnant SIL to be able to join us. My bf had dinner, drinks and stupid games at her house. It was fun - we didn't have to worry about people driving too far or spending a ton of money. Plus one of my 2 showers was the next day so it was easier for my out of state bridesmaids - 2 events in one weekend!

My bridesmaids planned a fun evening for my bachelorette party.

We went out for dinner and drinks and then drove to Charlotte for our night of fun. We went to a Country/Western bar to see an uprising country singer. We had a blast. We got a room for the night and came home the next day.

There were no strippers involved as that is not for me, but there was lots of dirty dancing at the bar. Big Smile

DH and I did a 3 day trip to Vegas with our friends. It was also the weekend of my birthday, so the first night we went out as a group to celebrate that and then the next night the guys and girls split up to do the whole bachelor/ette thing. We had a great time! No strippers for me, just had dinner and then went out to a fancy club for dancing (which I love).

My girls made me wear all the usual bachelorette stuff (veil, sash, huge ring...) but I like that stuff and it got me some congratulatory drinks.

They also gave me lingerie that they named and I was supposed to bring them on the honeymoon and let DH pick which one he wanted me to wear by picking the name. It was a really cute idea!

My bridesmaids & MOH (my sister) took me to Hermosa Beach. They got a nice hotel room for us with an ocean view room. When we all showed up, there was champagne, a card, & flowers for me. After sipping on a little champange for our *toast* we all went for sushi. After sushi, we went back to the room & my sister came back with decorations. (they couldn't find Bachelorette themed decor, so they went with a luau theme). We did a little "pre party" drinking in the room, hit the spa, & eventually called a taxi to bring us to the pier where we bar hopped. Needless to say a few of us ended up soaked & covered in sand by the night's end. It was definitely a memorable time. Smile

One idea I can give you that we did: My friend generated a list of "to dos" for me. Silly, random things, (ex: I had to get a piggy back ride from a total stranger, I had to find someone to serenade me, ect)...if she's quite sociable, she'll have fun with "the list."

Mine had to cater to a wide audience since my sisters were underage. We started out at the hotel bar where we were staying. My MOH planned a happy hour there, and the bar didn't have a problem with my sisters being there.

My MOH and I used to have happy hours at her apartment on Monday nights together, and I always liked reading the wine labels on the bottles we drank. So she asked everyone to bring a bottle of wine with a custom label giving marital advice (since a lot of the attendees were married). It was one of the best gifts I've ever gotten - lots of WINE! But the best part was the labels and the advice people included. Some hilarious, some cute, some really heartfelt. I still have those bottles (because I'm sentimental like that).

Then we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner, and went to a couple bars after that. We called it the a la carte bachelorette party since people could come to the parts that worked for them. My sisters came to happy hour and dinner but didn't come out to the bars, same for my aunt and cousin. It was great that my MOH found ways to include everyone!

ETA: At dinner, we played the "how well does Rein know Mr. Rein" game. Super fun!! I loved hearing how he answered the questions

We also had the member straws that we took out to the bar. I have some great pics of us using them...

And everyone wore black tops and I wore red and a red "bachelorette" sash. It was fun I love dressing up or dressing together!

For mine we went to a strip tease class in DC, the to the spa, then out for sushi and dancing - dancing was hard to due thanks to the class that broke my thighs in 15 minutes flat!

We had mine at home, but it was so much fun! I was expecting a stripper to come (and I was DREADING this!), but to my surprise a female showed up. Turns out my friends had hired her to teach us all a striptease/lapdance. It was a blast! We all practiced with an empty chair, and I got to try the whole routine out for DH after the wedding. High recommend for something different!

Oh yeah, and they did have a stripper come after. It was terrible

A friend of mine had a wine tasting bachelorette weekend like this, and it was so much fun. Another did the "how well does the bride know the groom game," which was super cute. And the most different event I went to was one with a group yoga class for all of us, then going to a few chill bars (healthy first, unhealthy later). One I'm going to this summer is a bunch of us going to the bride's parents' lake house, chilling there for a few days, and just cooking and spending good girl time together (SO excited for that).

Check to see if there are any outdoor festivals.

We all went down to GayDays in downtown Indy. Huge festival with a beer garden, drag shows, and dancing.

I had a blast. Too much of a blast It was a very hot day and I put off eating (ya know, didnt want extra calories before the wedding... Confused ) I had a great time but wish I would have been a bit more sober for the night activities.

We had a room downtown and had planned on going out to dinner and then going clubbing. We (because of me) made it out to dinner and then went back to the room to hang out and party some more.

It was so fun, I just wish I would have paced myself.

I am so glad someone posted this. I ma getting some great ideas for my BFFs party! For my party we rented a hotel room (2 room suite) and had a sex toy party. I think it was Pure Romance. For those that don't know what this is, it is like a Tupperware party at your house (or hotel room) but with sex toys and oils and things. It was a lot of fun. The guests donated money to my order instead of buying me gifts. We had a whole bar set up in the room so we drank a lot. We were going to go to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack which was just a short walk from the hotel but it was raining super hard so we just ate at the hotel. The next day we had a spa day. It was a lot of fun and there were no strippers.

I had two very small parties.

We live out of state so when I went home for my shower my family and I went out to a local bar!It was a Diiiiiiiive bar.. and my uncle showed up and told the boys trying to hit on us to leave us alone! (I honestly wouldn't have done it any other way!! I'm super close with ALL my family).

The second one was with my 2 girlfriends & favorite gay friend! We went downtown Chicago & partied at a Irish bar!

I wouldn't have changed either!!

I went to Medieval Times for dinner (I'm a nerd, I know) and then had a bonfire at a friends house. We had a butt load of jello shots and Bullfrog. It was honestly one of the best nights of my life I'm not a fan of anything ostentatious, so a bonfire was perfect for me.I don't remember much of it...but I was told that at some point I laid down by the fire and said the sparks were fairies and they talked to me...I still get teased about that

The most fun I've ever had at a bachelorette party was when we went to a pole dancing class as a big group. It was SO MUCH FUN! And an awesome workout ;-) Then we went out to dinner/drinking that night.

I highly recommend a Passion party from some company like Party Gals. Its like a tuperware party, but with more adult themes Wink

. Its a great because they always bring games and the bride gets free stuff. I've done it for one bachelorette party I planed and everyone had a great time!
