It's official we have our house under contract!!

So- yesterday I had a melt down. While we were in England we got an offer and ended up going back and forth and got an accepted contract. Well the buyers did their inspections and had a laundry list of items. We responded with what we were going to do and they sent a message back saying what they wanted done or they would walk. In the meantime our house in Louisville had storm damage and the roof is missing shingles.

So we go back and forth and yesterday was the day the finally said "do all this or we walk"... well I had estimates from when we bought our house on some of the things and I was thinking it would cost like $4,000!!! I had a nervous breakdown. DH had to leave work and we drove to Louisville.

Well a friend that is a contractor is doing us a huge favor and going to do the work for $400!!! A few years ago he and his wife were struggling financially for their son's tuition at a good high school in Louisville and we and some friends got together and gave them a Christmas present to help cover his tuition, so I guess the good deed came back to help us out!

SO today we finally heard back and we have an agreement. I'll be in Louisville this week after DD's appt with the pediatric opthamologist tomorrow to get all the work wrapped up and then DH's relo company takes over the house! YAY! We can buy a house- and we think we have one picked out already! We can finally get our stuff and moved before Calvin arrives!
