Anyone have Babyletto Nursery Furniture?

DH and I prefer more modern baby furniture and after searching for "modern" cribs that are affordable, in white/espresso.  I've stumbled upon Babyletto (Babymod isn't bad either, but we like a darker wood) We are specifically liking these two sets:

Babyletto Modo

or

Babyletoo Mercer

I have a few questions:  Does anyone have any experience with the quality of Babyletto?  Some of the reviews on the pieces that involve drawers state they are made of flimsy materials.

My other question - I know I definitely want the 3-drawer changer, but do you think we need the 5-drawer dresser (in the Modo collection) - we have limited closet space, as DH and baby will be sharing the closet in the room we make our nursery.

Re: Anyone have Babyletto Nursery Furniture?

  • We got the Babyletto Modo crib and I have been very happy with it. It was easy to put together (took DH less than 10 minutes) and it feels very solid... I think the quality is quite good for the price. The Modo crib doesn't have drawers, so I can't speak to those. Anyways, I would recommend it and I'm glad we bought it!

We didn't buy any of the matching furniture because we have a built-in dresser in the closet. The baby clothes are so small anyway, that I'm just hanging them all up because they'll never stay neat and folded.

  • We have the Babyletto Modo crib in espresso.  We LOVE it!  Looks great and is very sturdy. These cribs are actually made from New Zealand pinewood with a non-toxic finish and the solid wood and wood veneer construction means no toxic VOCs or formaldehyde associated with pressed wood. I know this holds true with the cribs but I do think they use MDF with their other furniture.  We were wanting a safe/healthy crib for our daughter and this one fit the bill (hard to find as most cribs have formaldehyde glues in them).  I highly recommend this crib.

  • We have the Modo crib and it is great. The quality is great and was pretty easy to put together. I originally was looking at the Oeuf cribs but didn't like the price. I was hesitant to purchase the Modo since I had not seen one in person. We couldn't be happier. I would highly recommend it.
