Ecos laundry detergent and rash on DS?

It's the only thing I can think of that I have done differently in the past week or so. I usually use 7th generation, but they did not have any in stock and I bought this.

He is covered in tiny bumps that started across his upper back, moved to his shoulders, down his arms, and are now on his chest and belly : (  he is not acting as though it is bothering him...

Pedi's office is not overly concerned as there is no fever. Has anyone else experienced this? It's breaking my heart to see him with this all over him!! We use all Burt's Bees products on him (since day 1), and I tried Cetaphil lotion but ut has only gotten worse. HELP!!

Re: Ecos laundry detergent and rash on DS?

  • I bought a huge container of it at Sam's a few weeks ago and just started using it.  I've gotten an itchy rash on my shoulder and butt (tmi, sorry) and the only thing I can attribute it to is the Ecos.  DH hasn't had any problem, and I don't have a baby yet, but I think it's bothering me.  I'm going to quit using it for a week and see if the itchiness goes away.  The type I bought is the Lavender scent.  Sorry your little guy is having so much trouble, I hope he feels better soon!

  • We may be in the same boat. ?I posted about a similar rash below. ?Except my DD's started on her diaper area and has spread to back, arms, and legs. ?Tiny teeny raised bumps and no fever too.. my pedi said not to worry. ?I usually use Purex F&C but subbed Trader Joe's detergent (which is Ecos knockoff) and I'm wondering if maybe my DH washed her diapers in it instead of the "special" diaper detergent I have..
