She holds on with both hands, which makes DH laugh. She also kicks her feet the whole time, which is especially funny when I'm nursing her side-lying cause my stomach gets kicked like it used to when I was pregnant with her---just on the outside now.

Sam does tons of weird stuff. He does this head bob thing where he keeps coming at my boob, then drawing back, then slamming his head forward into my nipple, he looks like one of those water-drinking head bob birds. When he's really confused he grabs my nipple in his fist (NOT cute, especially not when he needs his fingernails trimmed) or gets the nipple in his mouth but not deep enough he shakes his head back and forth with my nipple clamped in his gums (also not cute) And the adorable one, when he's alert and excited to nurse he'll click his tongue before trying to latch on and wave his arms around until he smacks me in the boob

She stops feeding when she has to burp or fart and bobs her head back and forth on my nipple and side to side...like she knows she's got to stop for a minute but doesn't want to lose her place in line:) That and she holds onto my shirt or bra strap, or holds my breast like its a sandwich

LO does the head bobbing on my nipple. When she's done eating, but not quite done hanging out on my boob, she'll stick out her tongue and just rest it on my nipple. And the grunting and mmmmmming. I also love when she rests her hand on my boob.

At first I didn't think my LO did anything quirky, but after reading your posts, she does most of those things too. I think the quirkiest thing is when we're side-lying, she kicks off of my legs or stomach which makes her move up and then she gets all frustrated when she's not in position anymore. I haven't quite understood the whole "shaking head side to side" thing. She seems like she's desperate to eat but can't find the nipple. Even though her mouth is normally on it, I have to push it into her mouth for her to realize that it's there. Silly girl...

When DS falls asleep on the boob and I pull it out of his mouth, he is still suckling sometimes and you can see his little tongue pulse like he still thinks it is in there- so cute!

When DD is very hungry she shakes her head and starts sucking on my elbow, then she protests when I try to turn her head to the boob. I love the gummy smiles I get as she is eating, but I hate it that sometimes she will clamp down with her gums and pull back, stretching out the nipple... OUCH CHILD!
