Does DC call you "Mommy" or "Mama"?

Or something else? DD calls me "Mama" and I LOVE it. I'm really hoping I stay a Mama!

  • He calls me Mommy.  But for a long time, he called me Mimi which was super cute and I was kind of sad when he changed to Mommy.

  • Right now I'm still Mama (or Mumma sometimes!) and I love it, too. I've noticed that Dada is starting to become Daddy more often though, so maybe Mommy isn't too far away.
After 20 months, 3 Clomid cycles and 4 IUI cycles, IVF #1 with ICSI = BFP!

That's funny, DH has always been "Dad-dy", never Dada!

  • Sounds very close to mum right now. Sometimes it is mum-mum-mum or just one mum, but never mum-mum.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!

  • DS started out calling me "mama".

Now it is "MOM", "MAMA", "Mommy" or " Meliiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssssaaaaaaaa!"  (yes, my son sometimes calls me by my first name when I haven't responded to the first three).

Haha, Brady calls DH and I by our first names sometimes too. While I think it is funny, I hope it doesnt become a common thing!!

  • Mostly mama, but Stella has started saying mommy sometimes too. She's even pulled out plain ole mom a couple of times.  She can say Marcu too, which is so cute coming out of her little mouth.  Kids usually have a really hard time saying my name because of the "r", but she says it perfectly.  But of course I prefer being called mama or mommy!

I notice it the most if I am talking with someone and he has forgotten his manners to say "excuse me".  So, I have most likely ignored/didn't fully hear the "mom", "mama" or "mommy."  That's when I hear the "MELISSA!!!!!!!!" and it grabs my attention.  Then I must reiterate the "excuse me" rule.  But it is hilarious that he has thought to do this :-)
