Re: are YOU brave enough? (PP PIP)

  • I have about 7lbs left to get to my PP weight....they are being stubborn. I think this post is a great idea. Everyone has their goal...and we are all different. We will ALL make our goal. I was a gymnast for 15 years and ppl told me they thought I would leave the hospital in my regular clothes...don't think so. It has taken me 5 months to get to this point - hard work pays off. But sometimes, when I get discouraged because these last lbs won't fall off...I look at my son and it makes it all worthwhile. Weight and stretch marks may not be our ideal thought when it comes to our children, but the way I see it is this is your mommy tattoo. Without the pain, etc - our children wouldn't be here!

This is so true! We all have our own comfort level with our bodies. Kudos to EVERYONE who posted pics on here. I applaud all of you who worked hard after having the babes. I haven't done a damn thing and that's why I look the way I do. I'm heavier now than I was 6 weeks pp. That's because of the choices I make.  Doesn't make me better or worse than anyone else. We're all different, but we have one thing in common. We have adorable babies that we wouldn't trade for the world!

  • ew, i can't believe how rude some of you people are being.  i think it's great that there are a few people who came out relatively unharmed (so to speak) and i assume that's what we all wish for, regardless of whether it happens or not.

i think it's really distasteful for people to hate on anyone's experience, including the people who aren't struggling with a frustrating PP body.

  • Okay okay. I'll play, even though I look worse than everyone else. I have a lot of weight to lose. I've only lost a little more than half of my pregnancy weight, plus I was overweight before pregnancy. So I have a long way to go, but I'm working on it.Just signed up for Weight Watchers actually. :)

  • Y'all are brave! I'm back to my pp weight... but I def don't look like I did before. Stretch marked and squishy, with NO ambition to tone it up. I'll be getting swim shorts and a ruched tankini this summer for shizzle.

I didn't look that hot in a bikini to begin with so I'm pretty ok with the pp body and this beautiful little boy.

ETA: alright fine... I will be brave enough. And yes, I live in sweat pant and nursing tanks.

I'm not hating on anyone's experience. It's all about the tone. I read Nadine's response and I was like "good for her, she worked hard" I read the other person's response and it came off as bragging.

J/K - I am just hating because I am still fat! 50 pounds gained/24.5 left to go. Sad part is LO is 6 months old and I had 24.5 lbs left to go at my 6 week PP appt which means I have lost nothing!  Acutally, I did lose ten pounds on WW but then I gained it all back. I am blaming everything on my broken foot!

I will say that I have minimal stretch marks but I think its becuase they are all filled up with fat!!!!!!!!

Well, that's a pretty douchy comment.  Apparently only people who have road maps on their belly and have lots of weight to lose were 'allowed' to post here.

I have zero stretch marks as well, and am 5 lbs from my pp weight w/ DD#1.  I've been working hard to lose the weight, so yeah, I'm getting to be pretty happy w/ my pp body.  Is that a bad thing?

  • How about we all just get along? Seriously....

Mucho Kudos to EVERYONE who is posting their pictures on this post. We are who we are because of our children. If some people want to complain, let them. If some people want to boast, let them. We are all here to help those who are seeking encouragement, and we are all here to congratulate those who have achieved their goal.

Its hump day people....half way through the week...so lets all play nice and be happy, because we all have beautiful children to be thankful for!!!!!!! :)

But, but, why? I haven't gotten out of my pajamas yet or showered today perhaps that would help my 'tude? I never looked hot naked pre pregnancy and I certainly don't feel that way now. I am a bitter hag. Carry on laidies. I'll see myself out.
