Am I just getting my hopes up, here?

Our little guy is so far a 'dream baby' as my mom keeps saying. He sleeps 3-4 hours at a time, eats like a pig (slob slob slob!), snuggles and watches the world go by, and then goes back to sleep after any diaper/clothing changes required. He doesn't cry unless he NEEDS something.

 Am I getting my hopes up that he'll STAY this easy going? If I must mentally prepare myself that in a couple of weeks he might be a holy terror, I'd like to think about it now. ;P

    you just never know. even after he gets older and more into a 'schedule' ya still can never get 'too comfortable' -- cause it can change at a moment's notice. you just have to roll with it- and thank the stars above for another good day.

    i too have a great baby- she never cries and she is five months old. always alert, always smiling, etc. but now we are teething and its a sin.

    I'm going to go out on a limb and say that no baby is a dream baby all the time or forever. There will be trying days, I guarantee. So, just be prepared : )

    We thought we had an easy baby those 1st few weeks. At 3 weeks all hell broke loose. But all babies are different!

    Haha, yeah, I figured it was more of a 'wait and see' thing. All of my friends with kids keep laughing at me when I tell them how GOOD he is, and how he'll change. It makes me so sad to think my sweet little boy could turn into a monster who screams for fun! :(

    DD slept all.the.time for the first 2-3 weeks.  Now, there are days when she doesn't nap.  She does sttn though.

    There's truly no way to tell this early... all babies are pretty much the same the first 2-3 weeks (basically as you've described).  Their personality/temperament won't kick in for awhile.
