If you have a crawler, come in!

What is your bedtime routine?  DS is so active now, our nightly massage isn't relaxing anymore since I'm constantly trying to pull him back to me, and he's always trying to crawl away from me (the only time he does that!)  I need some new ideas for relaxing things to do.

  • I don't know that I really have any relaxing tips but I put on night time lotion and I have a toy that plays water sounds. I place her in the crib and rub her back or her head for a bit.

  • Our routine hasn't changed (for now). LO gets her last bottle between 7 and 8, depending on how the rest of her feeding went, she plays for 30 minutes to an hour, we read a story, then she goes in her crib. After that she is asleep within 10 minutes or so.

It is still the exact same.

Bath, lotion, jammies, medicine, bottle, rock, bed.  I don't put her down after her bath so I don't give her the chance to get excited and crawl all around.

  • I do things the same as well. Dinner, bath, jammies, bottle, a quick snuggle, bed. Like LCB, I don't put him down or play with him.

    No advice.

Our bedtime routine consists of a bath, a few minutes to play in the tub with her Dirty Dogs, then lotion up and pjs.

Sometimes she is tired enough to take a bottle and go to bed, other times we play for about 30 minutes and that wears her out.

I still have to put her down with a bottle and I sing to her while rubbing legs or her head/hair.

I also put on the fan, her sound machine (which stays on all night), and her sea horse or My Pal Violet (on the night music option).

But when she's not tired she crawls all over our bed, tries to put her fingers in the fan, keeps grabbing her sound machine, etc.
