2 1/2 day long periods? What the heck?

So here's a quick rundown of me since I first attempted to go off the pill:

 September 2010 - went off the pill

November 2010 - found out I was pregnant - surpise!

  January 2011 - miscarried @ 10w2d

 February-ish 2011 - first period since. 

 My doctor told me that my body was back to normal in a number of weeks, as far as it goes for the hormones. I went back on the pill in January 2011 because I wanted to get my cycles back on schedule and wasn't ready to try again right away. 

  But ever since my miscarriage, I have had the weirdest periods. I start really late from when I used to, despite being on the same BC as before September. Then, when it does happen, it is ridiculously short. This month, it was 2 1/2 days. That's not normal! (awesome, but not normal. lol.)

  I'm putting this post out there to the ladies who have had losses and see how their bodies have been adjusting in the longer term. I'm still going to call my doctor in the AM and ask, but I'd love to see your responses.

    I have heard lots of women having abnormal cycles after MC. GL!

    also, can you pls post an update about what your doc says?

    after my mc in sept.. my bleeding cycles went from 7 days to 3 days..

    Since my D&C in December, I've had any where from 1-3 days of bleeding each month except February. I took Provera at my OB's request in February to jump start my period because I didn't think 1-2 days of bleeding was "normal". However, the period I just had was back to 2 1/2 days as well so I'm beginning to wonder if that is my new "normal". I'm going to wait and see what happens with May's period and then call my OB if it's still a short one.

    And ditto the pp, please let us know what your doctor says when you call in the AM. I'd be curious to hear since I'm in the same boat!
