Hello Ladies:
We are back in the market for a new nursery set for a couple of reasons.
#1- Max is still in his crib and I am not sure if he will be ready to fully graduate any time soon, which I am fine with.
#2- We bought the crip of Penneys and are very unhappy with the quality of it. Its too soft of a wood and the paint (its white) is chipping off. With that said I am very hestitant to buy again from an online retailer without being able to touch and feel the quality of the crib and dresser.
So, I am asking for your recommendations. I am really wanting to get something that will convert into a full size frame for the future. I want something that will not dent when my ring hits it the wrong way, etc. We are budgeting around $1000 for a crib and dresser (we will use the top as our changing table).
Thanks Ladies
Re: Recommend your nursery furniture
For Ava we had a Babi Italia Lifestyle crib and purchased it for $400 at BRU. It's wonderful quality for the price and can be converted to a full size bed (although we didn't do that because it was cheaper for us to do a toddler bed rather than paying for a full size mattress and the $150 rails you need to convert it- we just didn't have it at the time since we had just bought new living room furniture, etc.). We can always convert it in the future if we choose to and I can see it lasting through the years. It's very nice quality. Each crib does have a matching dresser, and you'd definitely be able to get it all (including the conversion rails) for about $1000.
