Forgive me if this is a stupid question...we currently live in a one story home, but we're moving next month. This is a photo from the house that we're looking at renting, but I'm not sure what type of baby gate we would need for these stairs. Would we be able to mount a permanent gate on that small banister pole? I'm sure we could use one of those spring mounted ones, but I'd rather have a gate-style if possible.
Any tips? Thanks! ![]()

Re: How to babyproof these stairs?
Yeah, sorry it's a crappy photo. I forgot to take a pic myself, so this is from the realtor's website.
Good idea about the 2x4, though!
We have this Munchkin extender gate - got it at BRU and love it. It would mount easisly to the banister but I would find out if you can drill through it. If not then I would go with something like this instead.
THANK YOU! Perfect!
the top of our steps is banister one side and wall the other. They make gates that have attachments to wrap around a banister and then pieces that screw into the wall for latching. See PIP below this is our steps. One shows a pretty good shot of what it looks like latching to the wall and the other shows the platic attachements that wrap around the banister. Got it at BRU!
