My DH is in the guard. He was supposed to have drill this weekend, but got called on Friday night and told it had been "postponed" due to the possible government shut-down and not to come in. Typically, we get a direct deposit for drill 10 days after the first day of drill - so I was expecting something in our bank account on the 19th.
I know it is drill pay and it's not much - but it was money I was counting on for our family. Things are tight.
I know they passed something so the active duty people could get paid in full and on time.
I just wonder how this is going to play out for us. We don't have any info yet on if/when drill will be later this month.
Re: Any reservists/wives that didn't have drill this weekend?
I wouldn't expect it either. You don't work, you don't get paid. That makes sense to me.
It sucks that he didn't get to work though and I don't see how they'll be able to make it up this month, but I guess we will see.

I just asked my H who is a Reservist. He thinks they'll either RST it or add 2 days to the end of another drill or AT.
The soldiers in the unit will need to make it up in order to be in good standing for the year.
