anyone had any luck inducing by pumping?

I bought a manual pump to use as an induction method (and if we have labor stall out).  I just tried pumping for 10 minutes each side and no contractions at all :(  I know she will come when she is ready, but I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with that before?

    Nipple stimulation is more for augmenting/increasing contractions that you're already having. I don't think it's supposed to work on it's own.

    My contractions started while pumping.  BUT I was 41 weeks, had tried two other times between 40 and 41 weeks with no luck, and my back had been extra sore the night before so I wonder if my body was preparing anyway.  Whatever the reason, it did seem to help and I had DS 12.5 hours later.

    Nipple stimulation seemed to jump start contractions...however I was 40w2d so my body was probably ready on it's own. BTW, how do you pronounce LO's name? I'm curious!

    I was 40w2d when I tried it too!  It is pronounced EE-fah, it is Gaelic for beauty (that is the traditional spelling).
