I scrolled through to see if this has been discussed recently but couldn't find anything. We had M's 4 month appointment on Tuesday.
19lbs 12oz, 27 inches...BIG BOY! We just switched to size 4 diapers, ahh! I EBF and the Doctor wants me to start rice cereal. I had hoped to wait until 6 months to start, but reconsidering.

Re: Does your 4 month old weigh more than mine?
My 3.5 month old is 19 lbs 4oz, 26.5 inches. I don't understand why the Dr. wants you to start rice cereal. Did he explain?
Just read it, don't stress! Your little man is perfect, you know what's best. I am sure you are an excellent mommy. Babies grow differently, it's tough not to be concerned if they are gaining too much or too little, but just know that you are doing your best
She said it may help him sleep (he eats every 2 hours around the clock) because it will fill him up more. Him waking honestly doesn't even bother me anymore, I've gotten used to it. I've been going back and forth on whether or not to start cereal, I don't think he's ready yet.
Your LO sounds like mine. He's 10 lbs 11 oz and is EBF. It's hard not to have a complex about their weight especially when people comment negatively.
Our "4 month" appointment isn't until she's almost 5 months, but it just so happens that I weighed her in a very scientific manner (weighing myself on a 100 year old scale, then holding her and weighing us both) earlier this evening.
She's 15lbs. Woah.

I know - it's hard. The doctor was like - well someone's baby has to be in the 1st percentile. Thanks - I think??? I mean she's really great and not worried at all, but that doesn't mean I'll stop having a complex lol.

B is on the small side as well and I've been worried I EBF as well. Her 4 month is Friday, I weight myself with her and it looks like she is right around 13lbs. My DH keeps telling me to stop being stupid she has enough wet diapers so she is getting what she needs. :-) all Babies are different.
