Nothing says "Hey, mommy. You've got another PERSON joining your family soon!" like a contraction. ![]()
I had to call the OB because this is so strange to me. I had tons of BH contrax with the other kids, but never quite this early. And this one I had yesterday wasn't BH, it was the crampy achy kind. THe kind that tells you the baby's coming. The dr's office assured me there were non-frightening reasons this could be happening. Mostly, get off my feet and drink a little extra water for now. Can do! Love the peace of mind I get from calling the nurses.

Re: Uh-oh! A contraction already?!
Oops, I hit enter! Any who, I'm 17 weeks and I've been in a whole lot of pain. I had a u/s today, and a contraction came...we watched it happen! They don't feel like 'real' contractions, it just feels like cramps. U/s tech said it was a little weird because I'm a FTM, but her and the Dr think it's okay. They also said that the baby is carrying "low", which could possibly cause more problems down the road.
I hope you feel better!!
Thanks for responding. That's interesting. Like I said, this is new for me and kinda spooked me. I haven't had more since, but the BH contrax have started. My uterus is still so small, it's so different from what I remember of BH at the end with my other pregnancies. Keep me posted on your contrax. Hope they stop!!
