I didn't start it...just picking up on what I read others call it from the past...Thought it was "common lingo" I could have just come out and said how often do you have sex?
I said 2 x a week...and I'm okay with that. I know DH isn't. He'd like to do it all the time. Just wondering if there were other people out there in the same situation.
I'm going on the record saying that bake cakes is the worst thing to call sex.
This. And this is the first time I've ever heard that phrase...at least not in terms of actual baking.
Ummmm...well. Hmmmm I'm not on here all day, every day. And I read posts here and there and I have certainly picked up on this "phrase" said by several people on here in more than one post. I didn't just make it up. Sorry that I was trying to be a bit modest.
I didn't know what to answer...since the kids were born, DH was lucky if it was once a month. However, I've recently gone off of zoloft and we're pretty much back to newlywed stage (4 times this week already!)
DH keeps laughing that we've had sex more in 2011 than we did in 2010.

the same here -average 2xs a week. I do think 2xs a week is adequate for DH but I think he would prefer 3.

Were you here for the initial post about it with these terms? Maybe that would make you think of it differently. Or not. I personally still laugh when someone brings up this lingo. That was a fun post.

I agree with this....and DH and try to have sex once a week though we are failing miserably at that lately.
We could use some help in the baking cakes dept. I feel like I am always angry at him for something by the time we have time to actually make it happen or he has had 3-4 drinks and that really doesn't sound appealing to me (sober) or he goes to sleep before me or vice versa. We have some work to do... it's kind of depressing.
This made me laugh. I thought "baking cakes" was literal, so when I saw the every day option, I thought "who goes through an entire cake every day?!". HAHAHA. So, while it wasn't your intention, thank you for making me laugh this morning. I need to keep up with the slang!
We try for 2-3 times a week and usually manage but DH is only home 2-3 days per week tops so sometimes it's kind of hit or miss. There are weeks he's only home one day.

OMG - I was sooo confused. I have never heard this term. We talk about baking and cooking a lot on here and I didn't understand why "bake cakes" was in quotes! LMAO!

I voted other for once a year....I read this post quickly and saw "How often do you bake cakes?" I was shocked to see that so many people baked cakes multiple times a week. My pregnancy brain is in full force today.
Re: How often do you "bake cakes"? clicky poll

I agree and even as a running joke it is horrible.

Ditto this. OP, I don't blame you for picking it up from the board, but it is just dumb
