Day care in Roseville/Arden Hills/Shoreview area?

Hello! I'm due in the fall with our 1st baby and starting to think about daycare. It would likely be part time, and I am looking for a cheaper option if possible (but still reputable/good quality!). Is home day care generally cheaper than a center? Anyone have suggestions?

Thank you!

  • I highly recommend Sunrise Christian Daycare Center in Mounds View. They have a wonderful infant room.

I toured Jack and Jill in roseville, and liked them as well. They're a larger center, where Sunrise is really small, so they might be more accommodating to a part-time schedule.

Yes, centers are almost always more expensive than in-home.

For in-home day-care, I would check out mnchildcare.org for licensed providers.

    Good luck!

  • I second the recommendation for Sunrise in Moundsview! Both my girls went there before I decided to stay home.

They will allow a part time schedule in the infant room, however, you will have to pay full-time until baby moves to the toddler room. As you will have awesome teachers and a very low ratio in the infant room, it's worth the cost. Once little one moves to the toddler room, they allow you to pay a per day rate. Plus, they are very flexible. I worked a four day week with Wednesdays off. If I missed work the beginning of the week due to a sick child, they allowed me to bring her on a Wed so I could make up my missed work hours.

Wife to an amazing man and mom to three darling girls!
