I have an idea

and I want to see what you guys think about it.

When Justin was in daycare full time, his teacher did a really cute thing with the kids in the class - they had a student of the month. When it was his turn, we submitted some pictures and filled out a little questionnaire about him -- like his favorite foods, pets he has, siblings' names (if any), stuff like that. They made a little poster on the wall and hung his pictures and put the questionnaire in the middle.

There are lots of us on the board now, so the weekly check-in we used to have is cumbersome, and thinking of topics for the POTW (picture of the week) is hard after a few go-arounds with it.

I was thinking maybe we could sort of combine the two, and maybe have a mommy/LO of the week (or two of them, since there's so many). We could have innocuous questions so that really personal stuff isn't getting posted on the internet, and submit pictures. i would be happy to post this and get in touch with the person(s) of the week to get it set up. We could choose randomly.

I was also thinking we could start a specific (private) blog for this, or post it on Facebook, or here.

What do you guys think?

I like the idea. I think it would be fun to takes turns bragging on our little ones and sharing pictures/updates.

I do think that you need to do 2 or 3 Mommies/LOs each week though because the board has grown so much recently.

I think that this is a great idea, Katie! I think it would be better to do this on Facebook in our Cincy Moms group, though, so that, like you said, people could participate and know that personal stuff isn't out there for all the world to see. Thank you for coming up with such a neat idea.
