Our babymoon, if you can call it that, will be travelling with our kids back to Disney World when I am 32 weeks for 5 days. We want to do something special with the kids before LO is born and I won't be able to travel once they are out of school.
I asked the dr. that I saw at my last appt. and he had no issues. He just said to take it easy and not push myself too much. I plan to spend a lot of time at the pool anyway.
I know airlines say you can't fly after 36 weeks, but I'm just curious if any of you are flying after 30 weeks.
Re: Flying at 32 weeks?
I am flying at around 33 weeks to Germany from NY (we are having LO in Germany with DH's family). I will have a note from my Dr. and will be wearing compression socks (I recommend you grab a pair to help with circulation). DH and DS will join me once DS is out of school, but that is too late for me so I am going ahead. I plan on walking around the plane a lot and my yoga teacher is going to help me with a few moves that I can do while in flight just to keep me from getting too stiff since it is a 7 hour flight.
PS DS was born at 36 weeks so this is why I am heading over earlier just in case!
I'll be flying at 31w2d and again 31w4d for my shower at home. My Dr. said she felt fine with me flying at any point up to 34 weeks. The flight is only an hour, so it shouldn't be to bad.
Although at 27 weeks or so I'll be flying long distance for our babymoon/family vacation to Mexico and again my Dr. is completely fine with it. I think the worst would be having to sit in one position for that long, so I plan on getting up and making myself go the bathroom, etc, just to stretch out.
Good Luck to you on your flight! That's really nice that you'll be with DH's family.
Thank you, it is his first (DS from a previous relationship) so his family is beyond thrilled to be there for her arrival. I am also looking forward to the flight, I love watching back to back movies guilt free!
