Is it wrong to register for items that LO will need as they grow and move into the toddler stage like sippy cups, eating utensils, a potty trianing chair, etc?
If that's not the norm or if it would come across wrong for someone shopping on my registry I definitely won't do it! Second time moms...any thoughts on this? Just curious.
Re: Registry ?....is it wrong?
I didn't register for things past the newborn/infant stage. More or less, my mindset was for things to get us started. Once you learn your baby's personality and gear that works for you or not - you will want to pick out your own things.
We haven't started potty training yet - and I have no idea what gear to try out. I can't imagine trying to pick those kinds of things out before DS was even born.

You know what older baby item I really want? One of those anti-spill toddler cups for snacks. Not the one with the orbit thing that all the 2nd time moms told us don't work, but there's another one. I'll see if I can find a link.

Yes! My friend has a 3 year old and whenever I would watch her daughter for her she'd throw her snacks into these things and it was great. Totally want these too.
those snack things didn't work for us either. lol. seriously, there isn't a single snack bowl that is "spill proof" that worked for us.
anyways, to the OP, I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I wouldn't be adding a bike or anything like that, but a few "older" items is fine.`
We have these for DD and I love them! However, when she sticks her whole hand in the top trying to get some cheerios or Puffs, some do spill out. No biggie though!

yes, it's slightly annoying. on the bright side, he never climbed out of his crib. or took his clothes and diaper off in the middle of the night. I think our problems with the snack cups were that he would either 1. put his entire hand in and grab a handful of snacks and pull them all our or 2. push down the sides with 2 hands and then flip the cup, allowing them to all spill out.
HA! This cracked me up because I'm pretty sure adding a bike is something DH would totally suggest. lol
I think it's pretty standard to register for those items. Baby will need them eventually, so why not get a few now?
I may have gotten a few sippy cups and plate/utensil sets, but that's it. People seemed to be more interested in buying the baby items.
We use those every.single.day!!! LOVE them. Fortunately, DS hasn't figured out how to take the lid off yet. When that happens, it's all over. :P
