Anyone feel queasy all the time, but no throwing up?

I guess this could've gone under the m/s question below, but I wanted to see if there was anyone out there who is not really having m/s but just feels generally weird all the time.  Mine didn't start until right around the 7 week mark but lately I've been having this weird sensation all the way in the pit of my stomach.  It's not quite nauseous, just doesn't feel quite "right" and it's pretty much the yuckiest feeling.

Sometimes eating helps, especially starches, but sometimes I still feel it when I'm totally full too.

I guess this is sort of like m/s huh?  Just wanted to commiserate.  Big Smile

  • yes I constantly feel like that. not always nauseous but quite yucky. sometimes I am nauseous but not as often as I just feel gross. Starches are the only things that help me too :( I hope it goes away soon :(

  • Absolutely...I have yet to throw up (knock on wood) but the last few days especially I've felt very nauseous when I smell certain foods or try to finish my meal. I hope it goes away soon...but with that said, at least I haven't thrown up.

  • Hi due date buddy! :)

I feel ya on this.  I just threw up for the first time yesterday (I mean during the pregnancy, not ever, lol) and I had felt sick all day.  Other than that it's just been a coming and going queasy feeling.  Usually when I smell or think about food. Ugh.

  • That is exactly what I'm feeling.  It feels like "gut rot" to me (for lack of a better term) and the thought of food disgusts me.  This usually starts at 5:30 in the evening and lasts the rest of the night :(  So you are not the only one! Hang in there the first trimester will be over before we know it!

  • I am always queasy. This morning was pretty bad. I don't want anything to eat or drink so when I force myself it makes it worse. I have don't thrown up though.

THIS! Gut rot sounds like the perfect way to describe it.  I'm happy to see others feel like I do, but sorry you are feeling this way too.  Blech.

  • Yes! It's way worse whenever I'm hungry, and I feel like I'm going to puke at any time but I never do. Ughh. And smelling certain foods (even ones I used to love) is terrible. Mine started when I was around 5-6 weeks.

  • I've been feeling this way since week 5!

I have only thrown up once, and every day for the past few weeks I've felt queasy all day long. I get hungry but can't think of anything I would want to eat.

Hopefully this all goes away for us soon! It's so worth it, though, right? :)

  • Absolutely.  Certain smells make me gag and dry heave.  I have issues if my stomach is empty too.   While waiting to get seated for dinner a few nights ago, I felt that familiar heaving sensation sneaking up on me.  DH snuck out and got me a rice crispy treat from Starbucks.  He got nervous because he didn't think I could be eating it in the restaurant (even though we still had another 30 minute wait).  I told him that if anyone tried to take it from me, I would explain that I was pregnant and would clear the restaurant of any waiting customers with my dry heaving and gagging.  Didn't have a problem.

  • This is how I feel, too.  I don't have constant nausea, but when I do (like now), it's like a carsick/yucky/unsettled feeling.  I also have some pretty bad aversions to red meat and yogurt, which unfortunately meant that I couldn't choke down my lunch today and I feel even worse without a full stomach.  But I have not thrown up during this pregnancy yet and I doubt I will.

I'm so grateful to be feeling sick again, though, because I was feeling really good for the last few days and I was getting really worried!

  • All of these descriptions fit me as well!!!  I have yet to throw up yet this pregnancy (knock on wood!!), but this gross, nauseous, "yucky" feeling has been pretty consistent since about 7 weeks.  It's not constant, but it happens on and off throughout the day, especially when I get hungry.  Today I've basically felt really hungover all day.

  • I am like that 24/7!!!  I haven't thrown up but I am definitely feeling sickly all day.  I have related it to feeling like I took a multivitamin without eating anything...except that it lasts ALL DAY!!  I've also noticed that if I'm laying down, sitting, or just staying still that's when it is at its worst!  If I'm up and active, I usually don't feel it...but I think that's more because I'm preoccupied rather than just thinking about how much it hurts!!!  Definitely know where you're coming from!!

That's where I'm at now.  I just told my supervisor that I'm pregnant because I'm hoping to be allowed to work from home some, now that the nausea has started, and she was talking about how she would just throw up and then feel better when she was pregnant.  Ugh.

This.  It's been this way for me since before my BFP.  It's gotten worse in the past week or so, but I have yet to throw up.

  • This has been my "m/s" experience, although I'm not calling it morning sickness. Basically... my stomach never quite feels right. If I'm hungry, I'm ravenous nauseous hungry... if I'm eating, the food seems semi repulsive (unless it's straight carbs)... and as soon as I'm done eating, the food isn't sitting well.

But... I haven't thrown up, so can't complain.

  • Yes this same thing happens to me.  I actually threw up for the first time this morning. 7 weeks today and bam! No fun at all but I did feel relieved when it was finally over.  That "off" feeling does tend to linger all day though.
  • Definitely have "m/s" although it is anytime throughout the day.

What I have found is its worse if I drink water/juice on an empty stomach. If there is at least something I've eaten prior it isn't so bad. It feels unsettled more than anything.

Although haven't thrown up yet so going to count my blessings!!

  • Yup, I feel the same way. I don't want to jinx it, but I feel awesome today. I hope the nausea and yuckiness is gone for good.
  • Try sucking on peppermint candy I know we are to stay away from sweets but this in one that has helped my queasy feeling.
  • I've felt this way too.  I'm 9w2d and haven't thrown up yet.  Yesterday I came close.  Today I've felt better but I also waited until tonight to take my prenatal vitamin.  Some say that helps.

  • I feel this way all day long, never gotten sick but feel its coming any moment! brushing my teeth send me there but nothing ever comes. I know this is for a good cause in the end but im just 6weeks and feel this will be a long rode ahead but well worth it!

WAHHHHH????  Well, at least it's not stay away from carbs--sounds like a lot of us are baking loaves of bread in there!  It absolutely is worse if I take too long to eat or I'm hungry.  The worst though is when it happens when you are full, so you're not hungry, but still get that carsick/gut rot feeling.

Hang in there ladies, hope we all feel better soon (as I run off to scarf more crackers)!

  • Mine started out that way, then I started losing everything I ate. Tips for those that get to the pukins like I have; lots of rest and eat every 1.5-2 hours. Make sure you don't have an empty stomache. You'll still feel like you're gonna throw up most of the time but if you eat regularly hopefully it'll just be that feeling. (at least it's worked for me for a couple days, fingers crossed).
  • I've actually starting throwing up.  This is pretty awful for me with headaches, vertigo, aversions to all food.... uggg... I knew this was coming!

  • Me too...I've been feeling like this since week 5 also.  I feel good for like 30 minutes after I eat then the feeling sinks in and stays until I eat again...it's like this for me all day & night...I get no reprieve.  I haven't thrown up yet but sometimes I wish I would.

Oh and picking food to eat has been the worst...nothing sounds good even though I know I want to eat and forget about liquids...water/gatorade/gingerale...any liquid makes te feeling worse.

I've had 2 miscarriages though so I keep trying to be thankful for feeling crappy because then it means everything is going right. Tongue Tied
