DS outgrew his aftermarket insert for his car seat, so I replaced it with the one that came with it. It doesn't have enough head support, so I'm also using a rolled up burp cloth on one side to keep his neck straight. But, his head is falling forward when he falls asleep. According to the thingamajig everything is level, so I'm not sure what else to do.
Re: Head falling forward in infant car seat
DD's head did this too in the infant seat and it still happens in her convertible seat. They were/are both installed correctly...
When she was little bitty, I would just sit in the back with her and hold her head up with my hand, but I know this is not really an option if you are the one driving...so I guess I'm no help other than to say that this happened to us too
Now that she's a toddler, I figure she'll wake up if she's truly uncomfortable.
G has always had this problem. Honestly the only thing I could do was sit back there and hold it for him if I wasn't driving. Occasionally, if I was driving and saw it flopped forward I would reach back and try to move it for him only if I was stopped at a light though.
His head still occasionally does this but his convertible seat is too high for me to reach over. I figure if he's too uncomfortable then he has the neck strength to move his head.
