Does anyone know how to clean finger prints on TV

DS1 was let down from the table this morning with sticky syrup fingers and smeared them all over our flat panel in the living room. Any ideas on how to safely clean the TV without scratching it?

    windex didn't work?

     What about vinegar or lemon juice?

    microfiber cloth.

    if that doesn't work than a VERY lightly damp microfiber cloth

    We were using Windex, then I read about how it can damage the screen. I saw some special cleaner at Best Buy, but it was $20 for a small bottle.

    If there is no advice in the instruction manual that came with the tv, I would call the manufacturer directly.  Good luck:)

    Yes - Very quickly before DH notices - LOL!  Unfortunately, no, I have some finger prints that I have tried over and over with a soft, damp cloth and they're still there... GL (let us know what you figure out!).

    I searched online and found a cleaner. If it were just finger prints I would try the cloth which is how I dust but with the syrup it needs something more. I broke down and mentioned it to DH, which technically it is his fault he let DS1 down without wiping his hands and before I was ready to "be on point".

    I am willing to spend $20 for cleaner so I am going to try to stop at Best Buy on my way home.

    The smears are ALL over not just a print here and there.

    I use baby wipes for ours but not sure if that would work for a super sticky mess.

    the cloths that you use to clean glasses with. I think its the micro fiber ones.

    There's greasy fingerprints on our TV that are permanent... I've used the monster brand LCD cleaner, microfiber cloths, pledge electronics cleaner, even windex and they are NOT coming off. My mom tried cleaning it too with no such luck. :(
