1st Trimester

8 weeks and not many "symptoms"

I am a little more than 8 weeks pregnant and haven't had much in the way of symptoms...no MS at all. I am tired a lot and my boobs are killing me, but I'm not sure whether to feel lucky that I'm not totally sick or a little worried. I read in one of my books that the earlier you feel sick, the less likely you are to miscarry. I have an US next Tuesday, and until then, I'm trying to remain hopeful and optimistic. My mantra has been "I'm enjoying a happy, healthy pregnancy." :) Anyone else have very few "symptoms?" My mom said she didn't ever really feel sick either...

Re: 8 weeks and not many "symptoms"

  • I am a little more than 9 week pregnant and like you have had very little symptoms as well.  Absolutely no m/s (sorry to those who are experiencing it) and I haven't even really been feeling tired.  My boobs were very sore and tender for a while, but that too seems to be passing.  I have been to the OB twice (once to confirm and another for my first official visit) and have been told that everything looks great and I should have no worries.  In my opinion, be glad that you are feeling great because I have read some of the stories the ladies post about being sick and my heart goes out to them.

  • My pregnancy with my son was so easy and painless. I never had MS.  In fact even through my extended family, there's only one woman out of about a dozen who has difficult pregnancies, and all seem to have very healthy pregnancies.

Too early in this pregnancy to tell, but other than having firm, sensitive boobies, I am not experiencing much else. I had what felt like cramps this weekend, but thinking back it was more like pulling sensations than cramps, and those are mostly gone.

  • Feel lucky. Morning sickness is not an indication of your baby's health.

    Ditto this. Don't borrow trouble.

  • I am 9 weeks and feel very lucky that I really mostly just have sore boobs. I'm tired from time to time, but that's about it. I worry sometimes, too, but then I tell myself that I should not take this for granted and trust all is well!
  • I had very little first tri symptoms with both my babies. Bask in it!
  • I'm at 7 weeks and haven't felt MS either. This is my first pregnancy, but my mom and sister have both told me that they didn't get MS either. Maybe some predisposition to MS is genetic?

I guess we should just consider ourselves lucky!

Your lucky if you dont have  m/s I had it with my first pregnancy and it was horrible and so far all I have right now with this one is the same thing as you sore boobs, tired and pee alot. I try not to read about every little thing because all it does is worry you and everybody says something different.

    This, exactly.

You're completely normal... And fortunate. Enjoy!

  • I feel you. I keep hoping for some blatent symptoms to make me feel pregnant. Some days I have passing wooziness and others I am fine. I am trying not to read to much into it as it could change at any time.
