I SUCK at taking the mini-pill!

I think it's been too long... I just forget allllllllllllllllll the time! I've been taking it for 3 weeks and have been on-time maybe 6 whole days. I was 12 days late for maybe 4 of the days! I think we'll have to use condoms for awhile...

I do too. However you know there is a 3 hour window of time right? So if you say your going to take it at 8pm each night you could take it anytime from 5-8pm or 8-11 pm. it has helped me a lot to put a reminder alert on my phones calender, if you are like me and use your phone to text check emails etc you will easily see the reminder in the 3 hour window of time

I sucked at them too! I would go days without taking it and then freak out I was going to get pregnant again. I told my midwife my concerns and now I'm on Nuva Ring. So far I love it! DH can't feel it when we get busy, I can't feel it ever, my period only lasted 4 days, and I only have to think about it every 3 weeks Big Smile

I was told there is only a one hour time window. It would be so much more convenient if it was 3.

I set an alarm on my phone for the same time we have to feed the dog! 7pm. everyday! And I also heard it's only a 1 hour window.

I read on the paper with my prescription that it was 3 hours Dr never told me that its just what I read under prescription info and side effects. Maybe it depends on which generic brand it is? Mine is NoraBe

On the Wikipedia page about the medication under efficiency and effectiveness it states taken within 3 hours.

And this is from the NoraBe I am taking, mine says nothing about a 1 hour window of time it only mentions 3 hours:

Take this medication by mouth with or without food, usually once daily or as directed by your doctor. For this medication to be effective, you must take it at the same time each day. Pick a time of day that is easy for you to remember, and take your pill at the same time each day. Missing a pill, taking it more than 3 hours late, or starting a new pack late will increase your risk of becoming pregnant. If you miss a pill or take this medication 3 or more hours later than usual, use a backup method of birth control (e.g., condom, spermicide) every time you have sex for the next 2 days.
