Anyone actually made them, and LO enjoy them? DD is forcing me to find more foods for her to try. She's not terribly interested in cereal (or anything) on a spoon, she seems to be wanting a bit more texture, this week at least. Actually she won't take more than 5-6 bites of any one thing at all these days. Each meal is a virtual buffet. Anyway, I've made pancakes with cereal and banana, and she liked them for a while. So wondering about trying muffins for a change. Anyone used a recipe that worked out? Did you add any fruit or vegetables?

Re: Muffins with infant cereal
I made banana muffins but didn't use baby cereal. I just made them according to any recipe. Instead of sugar I added an extra banana and applesauce. She loves them!
Just trying to keep her iron intake up. She loves eggs right now (scrambled yolks, and I just found a recipe for a souffle with spinach that I'm going to make), and she will eat some chicken, but she doesn't get much other meat or high-iron foods.
I didn't take your question as judgment, but thanks for the preface
Ok good
Some people see any question as something they need to defend and I was just wondering
Does your LO still take a decent amount of formula? If she does you don't have to worry too much about the iron and hopefully she'll eat more iron rich foods as she gets older I would think. Not that any of that answers your actual question :-p
DD gets no/very little formula, only BM. Ocassionally some formula in her cereal.....which she won't eat anymore. Did my reading today, I know there is some iron in BM and is readily absorbed by her. Learned about giving her a vitamin-C rich food at the same time as her foods with iron. Just trying to get creative with foods and methods to get the good stuff into her!
I made these muffins for Lucy - much for the same reasons as you are! As she eats more solids now, I'm working hard to try to find healthy snacks and variations:) There are lots of good recipes on the www.heinzforbaby.com.au website.
