Anyone due in October? I am due the 16, first baby. Looking for a yoga or swimming classes just for moms to be. I live on the eastside, anyone know of any?
Hi Christina! I was just about to page lyndesydrechsel from her post either. I am going to jump on the introduction bandwagon. I am due October 20th and also on the Eastside. First baby for us too.
I haven't seen any classes around being offered just for moms to be. My trainer is really good at making sure I am getting my exercise in and not doing things I shouldn't so I stick with her classes. I am also still running and when I feel to sick to, I hit the elliptical.

Karebear! I remember you from TK. Happy to see you on here. Welcome and congrats! Stick around, this is a great board.

Welcome and congrats! I'm not on the east side, but I was taking a water aerobics course for a while (in Mountlake Terrace), just before I got pregnant. There was a pregnant instructor and a pregnant woman in class, too. It was a low impact course and could easily work during pregnancy. The instructors were great about helping to customize to what works for your needs. I was dealing with foot pain and issues (still am) and the teacher would tell me how to adjust based on my needs. I stopped going when my RE said to take it easy after IVF, and then I had placenta previa issues stopping me from exercising.
So, maybe you can find any sort of low impact class and make it work for you.

Welcome! I couldn't find a moms only swim aerobics, so I just went to the regular class at Gold Creek in Woodinville. It was me, another pregnant lady, and a bunch of elderly folks. I loved it - the men were such gentlemen, and the ladies were so sweet - everyone always asked about the baby and I had a great time. The pace was perfect and lots of room to self adjust, and the instructor knew what was and wasn't okay for pregnant ladies.
I did the same with yoga - found a good instructor and a regular class and made sure we both knew what moves I could and couldn't do.
I know there are good prenatal yoga classes around, but I was more worried about finding something that fit my schedule and commute and budget.
Welcome and Congrats to you both! Karebear I was looking at your running blog because I just started running last summer after having my DS and I'm currently training for the Rock and Roll 1/2 marathon. I see you were just in Maui and we will be there in a couple weeks, I may use your route since I'm planning on getting a few runs in while we're there!!
Thanks guys. I plan to stick around. I switch between this bored, the seattle nesties, and health and fitness. I am not here you'll know where to find me. I recognize quite a few of you from the knot too.
I have a friend that just started a prenatal yoga class in Snoqualmie area. I'll find out where and get back to you. I think it's on Tue or Wed nights.
