I am a SAHM of three...and this week is Spring Break.
When you factor in the sinus infection that I have plus my awful pollen allergies (Georgia allergy season, FTW) on top of having all three kids home (5, 7 & 8) ... today was day 1 and I feel like we over did it. Got up this morning and had to meet a tow truck for our minivan, then went shopping for Spring/Summer play clothes and swim suits, off to visit DH at work to say hi on his break, out for lunch, shopping again to replace DD's scooter, to the park to walk in 85* heat so DD could ride her new scooter, home to play with chalk and bubbles, made dinner, showered everyone and dried both girls' hair...now they're in bed and I still need to straighten up the massive mess we made today, despite not even being inside for very long, before DH gets home.
One day down. Seven more to go. I think I might call FIL to see if he wants to "borrow" one or two (or maybe even all) of them for a while at some point this week.
Tomorrow I have an ultrasound in the morning...then it's back to the grind with the kids again. Going to bust out the craft closet and enforce a quite time tomorrow I think...
I would yawn, but my throat hurts like crazy if I even think about opening my mouth. Agh.
Bitchfest 2011 over. Sorry...I know it is my job...they are my kids and I shouldn't complain...but 36 weeks pregnant and a sinus infection don't really make it easy.
Re: NBR - Spring Break kinda sucks.
Oh that does sound like a rough week. I hope you feel better. Have you tried a Neti Pot? It has done wonders for my sinus issues.
I'm sure FIL would love to take a few kids!
Aw, I'm sorry. I had a sinus infection last week, and the only thing that helped me to breathe was Benadryl...which was obviously not a great solution for daytime since it knocked me out for five hours.
I hope you get that quiet time! Have you been hit by severe storms in your part of Georgia? I live in Auburn, Alabama (so only 35 minutes from the GA border) and we had terrible storms late last night that left us without power for a few hours. =/ I was told they'd headed into Georgia; I hope they avoided you!
BFP #1 9/7/10, EDD 5/14/11, Violet born 5/27/11.
BFP #2 4/9/12, EDD 12/16/12, M/C Rory 4/24/12.
BFP #3 10/6/12, EDD 6/16/12., Matilda born 6/17/13.
Nothing too bad in my area last night...but we were completely prepared with candles and a storm radio which I'm convinced is the only reason it skipped us. At one point they had one of the rotating storms hovering right over our house.
DH and I were up until almost 2 AM until they passed, just in case.
Everything is back to normal this morning. It's nice and cool outside and the 4000+ pollen count is down...off to the Dr and then car shopping since the mechanic called this morning to let us know he totaled our car since the freaking engine is cracked.
UGH!
