Survivied the Baby Shower

Hi Ladies,

I thought I would share that I survived the baby shower I hosted this weekend!! I was actually surprised how easy it was. I think hosting it was the best thing I could have done. I rushed around, getting food prepared and out, making sure eveything was ready etc. I really didn?t have time to stop and think about the fact I was at a baby shower. During gifts I made myself busy which was nice, if I was just a guest I would have had to sit and look at all the clothes while joining in with the ooows and awwws. I just made sure I put someone else in charge of writing down all the gifts bc I knew I couldn?t handle that and one person asked me to take pictures during gifts and I just declined because I knew that would be hard. I could also escape to the back room if i needed a quick breather, I had to at one point when other family friend asked my Mom when DH and I were going to have kids. I just feel horrible for my mom because she gets the ?s as much as I do.

Thought I would share since I know some of you have a baby shower in the future. Just keep yourself busy!

Re: Survivied the Baby Shower

  • Awesome! Glad it went well :)  I definitely prefer throwing/helping with showers than being a guest- I need to keep myself busy for sure!
Don't worry about tomorrow. After all, today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday. Take each day as it comes...one at a time. Midnight Baking Adventures Blog

  • I am glad it went so well.  That is always my game plan when I have been involved with baby showers.  I always stay busy in the kitchen, etc.
