Bluebonnet Festival?

Anyone ever been?

If so how is it? Any pointers? 

DH & I are going to go this weekend-- we've never been, nor have we even been up to Chapel Hill, where its being held. I'm assuming they'll be a lot of people there but hoping to get some great pictures!

    We were not impressed. It was basically a place to buy stuff, hardy any of which had anything to do with bluebonnets. There were stands selling all kinds of things from salsa and pasta to ceramics and clothing. Not at all what we expected. Also, if i remember correctly, there weren't very many flowers out. Though this year, there may be quite a few. There is a ranch on the way that has oodles of them and the pasture is always packed despite the no trespassing signs.
