It went something like this:
I actually thought they weren't going to find any baby so the dr came in and did the pap and internal and she goes "well... lets do an ultrasound and see" and it didnt sound like good news so I wasnt very hopeful.
Anyway she does the U/S and shes prodding around in there and I'm staring at the screen but I cant see anything cause she was moving around really fast then she says:
"Do you see what I see?"
"NO! What do you see???"
"I see more than one baby, I see BABIES!"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN BABIES?? HOW MANY BABIES???"
"I think just 2, yep you're having twins!"
"ARE YOU SERIOIUS?? Are you sure there's just 2 in there cause my friend Amy just had triplets and at first they thought there was only and then there was three and and and (insert lots of sensless babbling at 100 mph here)"
The rest of the appt was a blur, I remember before I left that they wanted me to sit down and drink some juice, I think they thought I was going to pass out...
Dh wasnt with me, so when I got home he had no idea. I went to the fridge to get him a beer before I told him, but when I opened the fridge there wasnt any beer so I stood there in the fridge trying to figure out what to say and I looked over and he was staring at me so I just blurted out "Its twins, I'm not even joking!" then I burst into tears, lol. He spent the rest of the day with this worried/shocked look on his face.
We told our parents that night, and I told some friends the next day but I dont remember any of their reactions. I'm pretty sure for a good 48 hours there every time I said "Its Twins" I blacked out for a few minutes. =P
I'll never forget the day I was working over at our OB office and there was a woman who had just found out she was having twins. She just kind of wandered aimlessly around the office for like a half hour with this shocked look on her face. I thought she was going to pass out too.

It didn't even occur to me it could have been an April Fool's joke but I'm so glad it's not! You and K are going to rock it as twin parents and Holden will be such a great big brother! Last night I told DH that I was jealous of my friend announcing her twin pregnancy and he was horrified that I still sort of hope we have twins next time around so I can have the three babies I want.
Here's the real question: how are you going to top Jer'majesty this time for not only one name but two?
When I saw the post title I thought "She better have not been tricking us!"

I'm so glad this wasn't a joke! I was sure this post was going to be a joke reveal.
They're actually in 2 sacs, so we wont know until after they are born (or until we find out the gender if its b/g) if they are identical or not! It will be funny if they are, dh has always had a strange fear of identical twins =P
I already have one picked out! I have to wait and see if they're boys or girls or one of each before I can decide on the second name. But they will be just as awesome as Jer'Majesty!
I can picture you with a child on each hip and Holden leading the way. You were meant to have lots of babies. Now, you get to have them all at once!
The only Easter Bunny I can get behind.

Oh I was so hoping that this post wasn't going to be a "ha ha tricked you all" one!
Again, so happy for you - can you imagine if they are twin girls? You'll be on first name basis with all the sales assistants at Gap, Gymboree etc at North Bend!!
Are you going to find out the gender's?
Am I also barefoot in this scenario? =P and I was meant to have a ton of kids, in fact I've already talked dh into going for number 4 in a couple years!
Dh is hoping and praying that there is at least one boy in there so I dont spend our life savings on tons and tons of new baby girl clothes! And to tell you the truth, the thought of buying for TWO baby girls kind of overwhelms me as well!
We're definitely finding out the genders, I have wanted to have a Pink or Blue party ever since Holden was born, I guess now it will have to be a Pink and Blue or blue and blue or Pink and pink party =P
I may have left that part out of the story...
I'm thinking shuttling them from playdate to playdate, wrastling them into the car, showing off your lovely brood and schooling other moms in the art of awesome! Sorta like Amy!

CONGRATS!! My girls were in seperate sacs and we finally paid for DNA testing this Christmas to confirm that they are identical.
I'm so excited for you!
Congrats again!!!! You are and will be a fantastic mother to those two blessings!!
