Dizzy after GD test?

I had my 1 hour glucose test today from 9-10 am. It was great! drank my fruit punch and sat in a recliner for an hour reading my book. Then went to the school, put in grades, moved some desks, had lunch with mom and went to Job 2 at the daycare center.

About 3 pm I leaned over to talk to one of my kids and the room started spinning. Every time I lean forward I get dizzy/light-headed. Anyone else have this happen after the test? Or is this just a normal pregnancy symptom?

After my 1-hour and 3-hour I got dizzy and had one of the worst headaches I've ever had.

I was extremely dizzy after mine. Come to find out it was because my blood sugar levels were very low, good for passing the test but it took all day to feel better.

I had mine today too and have been seriously sick all day today. I have been sick to my stomach have had the worse head ache, and have had TERRIBLE reflux (not sure if that one is related.) I just want to go to sleep, waiting for DD to pass out then it is my turn!

Well I'm glad to know it's not just me. I tried to lay down for about an hour but the phone rang, the dogs barks, MH came in and talked to me for a few... so that was a no-go. Not feeling much better but I'm Starving! so I got up to help fix dinner... looks like a night of bumming it to me.

Egh This test made me so sick and dizzy it was awful. I really didnt feel much better untill the middle of the next day. hope you feel better soon.

I ate a high protein breakfast, took a pepcid and drank the drink. I did get light headed and felt a little sick to my stomach (then lethargic) all in the hour wait. As soon as they took my blood I ate eggs again (with a little bit of bacon..oops.. it was lent, but whatever) and I felt so much better. I was not hungry but forced myself to eat and I really think eating protein when I did made all the difference. I felt much better all day. I hope you ladies are all feeling better!

I ate a big meal after having the test, not sure if it helped or not but I didn't get too dizzy. The women who drew my blood told me that the test can also make you very sleepy so to go home get in my pjs and lay on the couch. Glad I could do that.

Yes, definitely happened to me. Silly me decided to stop at Babies R Us on my way home from my 1hr gtt for my friend's baby shower gift. After about 30mins, it hit me. I started to shake, sweat and was sure I was going to pass out, so I ripped open a bag of gummy bears, a bag of chips, then ran to the water fountain while people were probably wondering what was wrong with me lol. I definitely recommend going home afterwards, eating sensibly and resting.
