Well, perhaps not every day, but on the days you are testing, are you doing it at the same time? I read (thank you google) that the best times to test are between 10a and 8p.
I use the CBEFM (which required FMU) and digital OPKs. With the digis, I test between 1 - 3 PM and then again at around 9:30 PM. I've always caught my surge.
