All I ever hear is wonderful things about the moby wrap. I have tried to put my 5 week old boy in it 4 times. I have made sure that he is in correctly and comfortably and not hungry....but he seems to hate it. He might last a minute or two and then he totally melts down and becomes hysterical. I think it has something to do with not being able to move around. When I take his head out of pocket and hold it with my hand to let him look around he is happy for a little bit...but then my hand isn't free
Anyone else have these problems? I was so looking forward to being able to hold him but have two hands free so that I could get some things done. Anyone else have similar problems?.....or advice or recommendations for something he might like better that I can wear?
Re: MOBy Wrap ProBleMs
What carry are you doing?
A lot of babies don't like the cradle hold...try the new born hug hold?
Try using the regular hug hold and make sure that the wrap is tight on you (like a tshirt that is one or two sizes to small) before placing babe inside.
Also once you put babe in the moby start moving around alot
Yes - my little love never liked the newborn hug hold; we went straight to the one with legs out.

I have the same problem, except I have a sleepy wrap. And my baby is 3 months and still hates it. He also hates his beco gemini. So I have no advice, but wanted to commiserate. I was thinking about getting a sling and trying that because it seems less confining... I desperately want to babywear!!

Ditto. LO has always hated anything pushing against his feet, even when hes nursing, if anything touches his feet he kicks and kicks and fusses until they are free of any.... inconveniences, haha. We switched to the feet-out hug hold and now he absolutely loves the wrap. Now if only I could perfect the outward-facing hold...
