I consider the calories null and void if I scoop my ice cream and then also bring my dirty dish to the sink. I'd say the walk down the street is worth double the calories!
MY FFFC: I work at a place where we inquire about income for benefits purposes. Where I work, no one we question has income. No one files taxes. No one is married. But everyone has children they "provide support" for.
How is this possible with no wages, no income, and no job? It isn't. And it burns me up that they don't understand that the person asking them the question--who pays property, state, local, and federal taxes on their job + for their benefits is the person who is providing that support.
I feel like an idiot for this, but I made the mistake of looking at pre-pregnancy summer bikini pics. On one hand, I feel overwhelmed by my changed body and on the other hand I can't believe how hard I used to be on myself. I love my bump, but my new-found extra thighs are definitely overwhelming!
I probably shouldn't be eating twice the slow-churned ice cream, huh?
I can't stand when people don't dress appropriately for work. I get it's "Jean Friday" but come on, it doesn't mean you can just look like butt when you walk into the office. It's jeans, not ho-day or bum-day... it's jeans, which means, replace your dress pants with jeans and leave the rest pretty much the same (unless you're a guy that wears ties everyday). Be respectful, it's still work.
I also have a problem with people that wear tennis shoes to work. I've never liked it, even when I worked at a company where the dress was super casual they could wear baseball hats or shorts. And even when I would do it, I hated myself for 9 hours. I'm okay if you're leaving work early because you're going to the baseball game or something, but otherwise no.
And while I'm still on the subject - after having gone through a consultation 4 years ago on how to dress appropriately for work, I'm well awawre that sales guys should be wearing suits when they're selling a product. However, today is our 3rd vendor coming and they're the best dressed, but they suck at presentation. The 2nd best dressed wore the suits minus the ties. It helped that they were decent to look at, and would've been better had any of them been over 5'6 (i'm 5'8, I felt like a fat, pregnant giant!).
I so agree!! If you live anywhere in this area, you should be ashamed of yourself (unless it's 1am, you're drunk, and only Domino's is open).
I'm right there with you, my pre-pg "thick" thighs are looking awesome right about now. It's driving me nuts that most of my maternity shirts hit at the thigh area, which is now the widest part of my body. It's like drawing a giant line that says "look here!"
This is my rationalization, we had pizza last night with whole wheat dough, thats how I justified making cinnamon sticks out of the leftover dough lol
I am hoping my bump is so distracting that no one notices.... haha
That is totally something I would do. I love pizza that much.
ITA -- and I live in Florida. Thankfully, it's home to a lot of NY and NJ transplants, so we have some awesome pizza.
Yesterday's post completely disgusted me, but I seriously cannot stand the pot-stirring posts that came after it.
I have no problem with people defending themselves, and also separate posts for girls like DuhDaisy to say thank you to those that defended her but the 8-hours-after "fcuk you" and other superfluous posts are just stupid and a feeble attempt to call attention to the OP.

My midwife & team clean everything up after the baby is born and healthy. EVERYTHING. Every dish, every towel, they disassemble the tub, mop and steamclean if needed... It'll be awesome.

I'm in Alabama but we have the best local pizza here too. We haven't eaten delivery pizza at home for years.
That's not actually pizza though, dessert gets a free pass! (That sounds amazing too!)
I work at OSU so it's who I am... but as much as I've obsessed over OSU football in the past, the recent events are making me "meh" over this entire place. It's all about $$$ everywhere on this campus, sports or academics. Just disappointing.
Shhhhhh!! NO! You should most definitely enjoy. I was trying to be good for so long until a mommy friend of mine reminded me that you are only pregnant for such a short period of time in your life, that you have to enjoy it while you can.

Yep, it was that girl. And while it may have been entertaining to see, I agree that it's good I wasn't there. That family is klassy.
Thankfully the girl had the sense to finally break up with her boyfriend. Hopefully they stay that way.

I WFH yesterday... I didn't brush my teeth until 4pm EST. That was also the time that I showered and got ready to go to dinner and BRU for the night.
We are like twins! I am the SAME EXACT way! I can't stand looking at my house dirty. It drives me nuts!
