Itchy Boobies

Gah!  I want to rip off my bra and scratch the heck outta them!  This is soo annoying. I noticed yesterday they are very dry and peeling despite me putting lotion on them everyday.  So last night I put my tummy butter and apparently it is still not helping.  Suggestions?

  • I had the same issue for a while. It sucks. Whether it naturall went away on it's own or if it was because I started using Palmers Skin Therapy Oil on them every morning.... well I dont know. lol. But it's worth a shot. The stuff smells amazing, a bit pricey though.

  • Ohhh oil, good idea.  I have an almond oil from L'occitane that may work.

Warning - it sort of has ruined my bras... no matter what I do the oil will never really come out of the fabric. But I prefer that to getting caught scratching my boobs at work. lol

  • I was going to say to use an oil blend.  I use something called Mother's Special Blend.  It's a mix of a coconut and almond oil, cocoa butter and vitamin e.  It's unscented & a bit greasy, but I but it on my belly and breasts everyday after I shower.  I haven't had any itching episodes since I started using it.  HTH!

  • I've had the same problem for about a month now.  At first I tried the almond lotion I have from l'occitane (which pretty much cures all dry skin) and that didn't help, then I tried Burt's Bees body oil and that didn't help so I finally purchased the lanisoh cream for breastfeeding and it finally helped!  When I was using the other lotions and oils it was still so itchy I would wake up in the middle of the night and seriously chunks of my skin were peeling off this has finally made my nipples soft again!  It took about a week but they are almost back to normal.

I have this problem from time to time with my boobs and my belly.  I noticed that it lasts for a few days and then......my boobs and belly are BIGGER.  Your skin is probably stretching.  I use palmers cocoa butter but even that doesn't work on my itchy days.  It will probably help you with your dryness and peeling though.
