It has now been just over 48 hours since my water broke. I saw a perinatologist yesterday who confirmed that I had lost all of my amniotic fluid. The baby's vitals were still good-- the heartrate was 154, and my cervix was still closed. I also had no signs of infection. However, he said that, although the situation is not hopeless, the chances for baby survival are not great. Most people go into labor within a week's time. He also said he has had healthy babies result from situations like this, but they are the exception rather than the rule.
I am trying to stay as hopeful as possible, but it is so so hard.
I am going to be on bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy. At 24 weeks, I will be admitted to the hospital so that when the baby is born, he can be immediately taken to the NICU. If I happen to go into labor before that point, there is really nothing they can do. I am not going to be put on antibiotics for the time being because there is no infection, and he doesn't want me to build up a resistance in case I need them later on. I am going to see my regular ob/gyn today for a follow-up.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!

Can they re-irragate the sac or do a patch on it? I know those things might sound crazy, but I have heard of them being done in cases where the water broke too early. https://www.actabiomedica.it/data/2004/supp_1_2004/contino.pdf
It may not apply to you, but it could make a difference if you qualify for it. Its called an AmnioPatch.
I hope you and the baby stay healthy and safe and make to full term.
I am so sorry you are going through this. I am praying for you and your little angel. You are very strong and your baby is lucky to have you.
Take care of yourself and let us know if we can do anything for you. Please keep us updated. ((HUGS))
