Hello San Diego!
I'm moving to San Diego (Del Mar area) at the end of the month, and I'm wondering if you know a good OBGYN. I'm also looking for an RE for my fertility issues.
Thanks!

Re: OBGYN recommendations?
My Ob/Gyn is Jonathan Dunn at the Scripps Clinic Carmel Valley, which is right next to Del Mar. I really like him and had a great experience with the staff, too.
Mine is Dr. Vivian Ellis - also Scripps Carmel Valley - I think she is chief of obstetrics. I really like her & love her nurses.
Scripps Carmel Valley delivers at Scripps La Jolla - it has a level 2 NICU staffed by Children's Hospital, & private rooms. Almost all nurses are certified lactation consultants. I delivered my 1st their and had a wonderful experience.

It's been over a week since you posted, but I thought I'd add my two cents
Dr. T mentioned above IS great; he delivered my two brothers. DEFINITELY check out the Sharp system. www.sharp.com... It's incredible. It's a huge medical system, but everybody (docs, nurses, reception staff, phone staff, EVERYONE) really cares about all their patients. It's never hard to get on the phone with your Doctor's nurse, there's an after hours Nurse Connection line and plenty of after-hours care for pediatrics.
There's a Sharp office in Carmel/Del Mar on Carmel Country Rd right off Del Mar Heights. I live in La Jolla and I went there for my OB, Dr. Chortkoff. She's great, and her nurse Jennifer is the best. I don't know much about the other OB on staff there, but I do know that the OB NP there, Traci, is soooo sweet. I loved seeing her. That office is primarily OB and Peds, with one family practitioner.
There are several other offices around the county, though, as well.
Sharp Mary Birch is hands down THE best place to deliver... unless you're specifically looking for the midwife/birthing tub experience, which they don't offer. Check them out on that website too - they often have "Baby on the Way" nights with food, goodies, and tours.
Good luck and have fun!!
