Dunno... this isn't something I ordinarily do! I'll probably just remove as much hair as possible and then soak them in hot water + vinegar for awhile and then rinse. Sometimes I brush them against one another to get off any grime. I remember my mom washing our brushes when I was little and she did something similar.
I soak them in a mixture of water and baking soda once I get rid of the excess hair. It does wonders for removing hairspray and other dirt. I think there's an exact proportion for it but I just dump some in and water and mix it up.
I crossed it off the list. I tend to just toss the brush and get a new one when it gets icky. I guess maybe I should do this but it seems like too much work.
