I'm so sorry. It is a truly terrible moment when you realize what has happened like that--and I remember my husband's response was so hard to witness. This is going to hurt for a long time, so be kind to yourself (and remember that it was in no way your fault). Life will get easier, slowly. I hope you will be back on a month board soon.

This is my fear. This is every woman's fear. I just cannot even remotely imagine how you are feeling right now. I pray that you find comfort and that when you get your take-home baby that every drop of this pain fades forever. I'm so sorry!
