Stomach Bug??

I'm thinking that DS may have a stomach bug. My mom is watching him today and when I went over to see him on my lunch, she told me that she had to put him in the bathtub because he threw up all over her kitchen. He ate really well at dinner last night and had a bottle of milk this morning and seemed fine when I dropped him off. He didn't want any breakfast except for a few pieces of toast. She said he happened to be in the kitchen with her looking for something for him for lunch when he got sick everywhere. She waited a while and when I got there for lunch, he was acting like he was hungry so we gave him some soup. She just texted me to tell me that he just threw up his lunch. He has never had the flu/stomach bug before so can you tell me what you did for your DC when he/she had this? Thanks!

Re: Stomach Bug??

  • sounds like a stomach bug and if so you should probably bring him in to the pedi to just have a flu test done.

give lots of fluids.  a lot of water

  • Give him some pedialyte and a nap. See how he feels after that. I have never been one to rush to the dr. but that may be in order if he isn't keeping food down for over 24 hours.

  • I will say a prayer its not what Noah had.  He had a stomach virus and ended up in the hospital..Make sure you give him pedilite and water.. NO MILK until he doesnt throw up.  Crackers are good and toast.  If he has diarreah make sure you call the pedi.  I dont mean to scare you.  Noah is good now, but his lasted 5 days.  The main thing is to keep them hydrated.  GL  Keep us posted.
