I have a clogged duct and it's been a little over 24 hours. I'm doing everything I can, massaging, warm compress, holding DD in different ways, using that side mostly when I feed, pumping, etc. My question is, when it works itself out, will you see a large gush of milk if you are pumping?

Re: Clogged duct question
OMG I had one last week let me tell you what worked, and this was from PMJacobson on 0-6:
Get in the shower, make it as hot as you can stand. Take a wide tooth comb and soap it up, and "comb" the area for a few minutes while under the water. Then get out and pump. It cleared mine right up. (It doesn't hurt as much as it sounds like it would...)
Also drink lots of water and don't be afraid to take some motrin. I do see a large 'gush' but it's a single stream, so it's not too bad. Usually mine clear up with baby eating, not with pumping. Also check for blebs...that's what always causes mine. (The skin sort of grows over the outlet on your nipple and prevents the milk from coming out.) To get rid of a bleb I usually can use my finger nail or a towel. I've only had to use a needle once. It didn't hurt, so don't worry. I second the comb in the shower...works pretty well.
