So to follow up, some of you may have known I went in for a colposcopy after an abnormal pap. As of an hour ago I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Currently it is in my cervical canal and I have to have a cone biopsy to see if it's any further up. I may have to have a hysterectomy....and the only thing I want to do is be healthy and have LO's. Thanks for listening.

I can't even imagine getting news like that. I really hope that it is in as small an area as can be and they can put it in remission without you getting a hysterectomy.

Absolutely thoughts & prayers!
They may have been been giving you the range of possibilities. One of my dear coworkers was dx with cervical cancer after years of normal paps. She had a colposcopy and the sample was cancerous. They were able to / had to remove a good portion of her cervix, but not a hysterectomy. She's cancer free and has had 2 children - it was a difficult pregnancy each time, she needed a cerclage and modified bedrest after 12 weeks, but it is possible.
I'm not saying this to give you false hope, but know that there are two ends of the spectrum.
Keeping you in my thoughts!!
Oh honey!
I am and will continue to think lots of good thoughts for you.
I hope that the cone biopsy shows no further evidence and you are cancer free really soon!

My sister had cervical cancer. The cone biopsy was successful and all is good now.
You are in my thoughts, I just wanted to give you a positive story. (((Hugs)))

That sucks! I too know someone who experienced the same thing as Excitedtostart and she actually had 3 babies. I truly hope things turn out for the better for you.
Gosh I hope people realize how wonderful and how much heartache may be able to be avoided for the next generation by the recent HPV vaccine that has come out.
