I'm going to buy some new ones today. In the past I have always bought them at Kohl's, but the last ones I bought seemed really cheap in quality and didn't wash well.
What kind of towels do you like that don't break the bank?
Do you have a Sam's or Costco membership? I bought our last towels at Costco and they are nicer than our Macy's (Charter Club brand) towels and a lot cheaper.
I always had crap Kohls towels too and for Christmas I asked for fluffy towels. LOL, that was my only request for christmas...it sucks getting old!
Anyway, my brother and SIL bought me some Nautica brand towels from Bed Bath and beyond and they are heavenly! I don't know what they paid for them, but probably more than I would have paid if I were buying them. However, now that I have used them, I will be splurging on towels from here on out!
6/28/10: Lost our sweet baby Addyston at 18wk 1day to pPROM
7/24/11: Michael William born at 24wk 2d due to IC after an emergent cerclage at 18wks, 4wk home BR and 2 weeks hospital BR. Grow strong our little Miracle!
9/17/11: Michael joined his sister in heaven after 8 amazing weeks with us on earth. He fought a very hard fight but NEC was too much for him in the end.

Ditto this. I have some bath sheets from Costco that I just love. More than anything I have from BBB or Macy's. I was very skeptical that they wouldn't wash well or be durable, but I was so wrong. I buy another towel every time I go in there. Their big 24 pack ($9) of white washcloths are also better than my Macy's washcloths.
We got a whole set of towels from Macy's for our wedding (I think they were Charter Club), which seemed awesome... until we washed them. We threw them all away. They looked like sh!t, excuse my language.
I replaced them with towels from BBB which have done okay. They feel soft, but haven't held up perfectly either. A heck of a lot better than the Macy's ones though!

I just purchased all new bath towels from Target a few months ago, and they are just the Target Home brand (blue/green colored tag). The price was right (I think they were the second cheapest ones in the store) and I love them. They're so much better than the towels I just replaced, which were the ones from our wedding registry and they were expensive. The new towels have washed up much nicer, and they're the right amount of softness and thickness that I like. I was super nervous about this purchase, because I felt like I was being cheap when I bought them, but they have been a good purchase. That being said, I have all white bath towels, so I don't know how the colored ones hold up after washing.
