Re: **3T Weekly Check-In**
Thanks Zook, for updating! Loving the BFP's this week
Updates: DH's varicocele surgery was Thursday. It went well and the doc fixed 5 veins. DH is still in major recovery mode and we're hoping he feels better soon!
QOTW: I love, love love our little village. I can run and feel safe, the houses are old and historic and it has the most awesome coffee shop! I wish that it had a place to get a drink or a nice dinner but there are enough places around us.

My IF-turned-baby blog
Great job keeping up with this Zook!
No updates for me really, Ob/gyn appt on Tuesday, making RE appt this week, and I think i'm pretty much healed from my appendectomy.
QOTW: What is something you like about your city / town?
I haven't been here that long, I guess I like that its close to the city, but not in the city.
Congrats to all the BFP's:) H & H 9 months!!!
Update: I'm taking estradiol and wearing the alora patch in preparation for my FET.
QOTW: What is something you like about your city / town? This is a tough one since I live in a small town and there is not much going on, but enjoy the "small" town feel and like not having to deal with traffic. However, I can be in a couple of bigger cities within 20-30 to shop, dine and have some fun!
OMG, I just noticed you're from Pensacola! I LOVED living in pensacola! I'll trade you in a heartbeat
What I miss about pensacola:: McGuires and the Mcguires running club, all the fantastic running events in and around pensacola --especially double bridge run and the half marathon, My friends at Emerald city, the piano bar at seville quarter, the beach, the cute sailors from NAS, my internship at the gulfarium.. sigh. Ok done reminiscing. ((hugs!))
Congrats to all the recent BFPs!! Thanks Zook for keeping up with us.
Update: Still on BCP for IVF #3. Starting Lupron next Sunday!!

QOTW: I live in a village outside of a town. Can't say I love it and can't say I hate it. I love the fact that it has a town feeling and a rural feeling. Either way, we have to drive to do anything. We are at least a 30-40 min drive from anywhere remotely exciting which isn't too bad.

~~PAIF/SAIF Always Welcome~~
Hi Zook!! Thanks for doing this- very much appreciate you.
No real update from me. Looks like surgery is scheduled for April 8th. I'm ready to get it over and done!
QOTW: I live about 30 minutes from our nation's capital and have all my life. And I still haven't seen it all! The Cherry Blossoms are almost out and I love them.
~~I want to have another big group of ladies going to the BFP side of the check-in to finish out March!! And lets start April out right and have another wave of BFPs then too!!
Update: I had CD 10 b/w done on Saturday...I was supposed to hear something back but haven't yet so I'll be calling tomorrow if I don't have a voice mail by lunch.
I have to believe the Femara is working though b/c I've been having twinges and pain in my lower abdomen so I'm assuming its little follies growing away down there!
QOTW: I like that we are close to several larger cities. It makes it easy to travel (if we are flying) and to go into a city to do something fun. Our city is a college town and I love the atmosphere although traffic can get bad (especially during home football games).

~~Also best of luck to Kati, illinigal, and youngin!~~
Whoo hooo! I finally have something positive for the Check in! I finally responded to the Clomid (200mg AND 250mg this cycle alone). I triggered on Friday- and am- for the first time EVER in the 2WW!!!! I always thought that people were silly getting all anxious during this wait- but now I get it! I don't know how I am going to last a full two weeks!!!
QOTW: I live in Cheyenne, WY. It is the home of the World's Largest Outdoor Rodeo. We volunteer for Cheyenne Frontier Days- and I LOVE IT!!! Pretty much our whole summers revolve around CFD activities. I am hoping that I will be KU during this year's show- and I won't even mind not being able to binge drink for 10 days straight!!!
Hi ladies! A big thanks to Zook for doing an awesome job with keeping up with our 3T updates.
This cycle was supposed to be my 1st injects cycle. However, after discovering that we've been TTC with a blocked tube and endometriosis in addition to DH's MFI, the RE decided to try another IUI cycle with Femara and a trigger. She feels confident now that the endo has been removed and my right tube is clear.
She did say that if we do two more unsuccessful IUIs then it will be time to start discussing IVF. I am NOT happy about that. I'd rather do an injects cycle first, but she thinks I will hyper-respond to the meds for an IUI. Maybe she will consider allowing me to do one injects + IUI just to see how I respond to the injects before we have to move on to IVF. Or, better yet, maybe I'll get KU this time and we won't even have to worry about it. I do feel like we FINALLY have a shot at this. Our odds have definitely been increased. DH has been tobacco free for 4 months and I know in my heart of hearts that has to make a difference for us.
I have my monitoring appointment on Thursday.
QOTW: We live in the sticks but we are one hour from 3 different cities that are all great in different ways.
IUI#1 was a BFN - I'll find out tomorrow when I talk to the office and make sure the plan is the same this month.
I love Buffalo - the people are great, the cost of living is great, the food is awesome and believe it or not - I love the weather (all four seasons!).
Dx: PCOS and MFI
3 IUIs, 4 IVFs = BFFN
3rd RE: IVF #5/FET = BFP

Thanks Zook for the update! I can't belive aside from the BFP's you actually take the time to update treatments & such on us!
Update: Last pill of clomid was last night and my ovaries over the last few days have been hurting more and more. Can't imagine the pain when Wednesday comes around for my u/s. Since I O on my own usually around cd15 I assume I will be ready to trigger and get IUI on Thursday or Friday.
QOTD: I am like Marla Singer, My DH & I work our towns festival every summer. DH is the president this year & I'm in charge of the 10k & 5k run. Our town is gorgeous with a river splitting it in half, tons of trees, but all the shopping & restaurants you can want. Plus we are close to Chicago to have the "big city" nearby yet live in a place that still feels like a small town. We grew up here and moved around but loved it so much to move back.
IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)
IUI#5 BFN (April 2013)

My Blog
Hi Ladies. Nothing new. My HSG went well and I am all clear. I will get my CD3 bloodwork results back this thursday.
QOTW: What is something you like about your city / town? My tiny, tiny town has a amazing community. We just had a fire where 19 houses we destroyed and the community has come together in so many differnt ways to support and earn money for the fire victims.
Hi, I am new to the boards and appreciate the chance to join your amazing group!
My name is Carolyn
We have been TTC since 05/10
Previous diagnosis of PCOS
Have taken Provera, now taking Provera+Clomid
Thank you for all the inspirations, tips and advice so far!
Congrats to all the BFP!

first US 08/22!
Update: Currently in the 2ww of my FET.
QOTW: We will in a small town right outside of Chicago. I love that I can be in Chicago in less than 10 minutes but still come home to the peace and quiet.
CONGRATS to the BFP's!!
Update: I have my first RE appt tomorrow...hopefully that will go well.
QOTW: What is something you like about your city / town? I love that there is so much to do here. We live right outside of Raleigh, NC. For me this is the big city because I came from a tiny town in WV.
~*Jenna*~
TTC since November 2009.
Currently licensed foster parents with the hope of adopting! Also pursuing pregnancy through IUI! First IUI scheduled 10/3/13
Currently loving our placements:
A 1/08
C 4/11
K 6/12
Update: We are TTC on our own this cycle and I am just waiting to O. I am on CD 16 and still no + OPK yet. Not entirely unusual for me, the first year I charted I O'd CD16-20, then for a few months it became more like CD 14-16, so maybe this is just a longer cycle for me.
QOTW: I love my city!!! It has an awesome sky line. We have great museums and a great zoo, great theater too (not like NYC, of course) - there are always plays, musicals and the symphony. 3 rivers and some awesome sports teams!! Love, love, love my city!!
update- my husband currently has a urology appt. for May something or other, but he is going to call my RE and see if he can recommend someone to see him sooner.
QOTW: I love the amount of parks in my neighborhood. I can walk to about 4 different parks
TTC since 2010
lots of IUIs and 1 IVF all BFNs
FET currently on hold
Zook, thank you for keeping this check-in up! It can't be easy!
Can you update my Dx? I am now: DOR, Endo, APA+, MTHFR and blocked tubes.
I don't really have any updates this week. I am waiting for AF. Hopefully she arrives by Wednesday at the very latest. Otherwise, they may push me back to the cycle to start at the end of May. I am hoping we don't get pushed back.
QOTW: I like that a lot of MH's family lives here. But, I really wished mine did, too. I also like that we get to watch the Cardinals play and the Blues play. It is nice having some pro sports options locally. There are also many other things you can do. I grew up in a small town so I'm not used to all of the cultural and sporting events available.

Hi ladies, unfortunately I'm checking in after a miscarriage. Zook - can you please take me off the BFP list?
We went in for our first u/s on March 14th and saw the heartbeat, although it was only 101. We went back in on March 24th to see if it had increased, but instead there was no heartbeat at all. I had my D&C yesterday. We are devastated to say the least. We will TTA for one cycle and then be back to the RE for our first Clomid+IUI cycle.
QOTW: What is something you like about your city / town? I like how close we are to the mountains. Everyone here is pretty outdoorsy and into being active. It's great weather no matter the time of year. Even if we get snow, its melted and warm again within a couple of days.
I'm so sorry for your loss, hon. ((HUGE HUGS))

No real update. My RE is a jerk, so when he goes out of town I get no treatment and acts like it is not his problem at all. He doesn't even want to talk to me without an appointment, but he will only allow an appointment on cd1, when he is in town. Bah!
I have lost 13 pounds though, so hopefully that combined with the low GI diet should lead to some kind of ovulatory success.
QOTW: I don't like all the critters that live in this town. We are being overrun by 4 different kinds of ants right now. And two lizzards moved into the house. They wait by the door in the morning and then they run in and climb on the curtain where they stay all day until nightfall when they run back out. So odd. Don't even get me started on the spiders.
Update: Trying 1 IUI with Femara this cycle. If it does not work, we will be doing IVF in June/July. I am currently on CD5, and day #3 of Femara. IUI should be sometime next week.
QOTW: What is something you like about your city / town? We are close to some really good shopping, as well as the mountains and beach. And my family is close by!
Update: I'm waiting to see if I will O on my own this month (still on a treatment break).
QOTW: I didn't really like living in my city at first, but it finally grew on me. Plus I met MH here, so it will always have special place in my heart. There are lots to do in terms of artsy stuff (plays, music venues, and museums), but it is smaller than a real large city, so I do like that.
Hi ladies! Congrats to all the BFPs!!!
Update: I'm on my 4th day of the 1st round of clomid so far not too many s/e. I go in for an ultrasound next Sunday.
Something I like about my town: I'm in between two large cities that take about 30 mins to get to but I can still have the small town feel.
Our beautiful babies
Thanks for doing this Zook! GL to all the lovely ladies of 3T!
Update: On BCP for IVF#1, last pill is this Saturday! And then we wait for AF!!! I cant believe its just about here!!!!
QOTW: I live in a relatively small town, but it has almost everything you need in it. We are expanding our shopping resources on the highways and are getting a walmart and a michaels. I may never leave.
I am in the 2ww from my IVF. I go for my beta on the 7th.
QOTW: I love my commute to work, I go over a bridge that allows me to see a beautiful river with the ocean in the distance. And this time of year I watch the sun rise as I crest the bridge. Absolutely gorgeous!!
Morning ladies!!! Congrats to all those that got BFP's!!!!
Update is ER was sat, 30 eggs were retrieved and 19 fertilized!!! I go in for bw tomorrow morning and await the call on if we good enough embies to do 5dt. If not the ET will be tomorrow at 12! Wish me luck!
QOTW-Hmm I love the fall in the northeast. its so pretty and its my favorite time of the year!

QOTW: I always say that Austin is the best of both worlds for me. It's a fairly large city but feels like a small town because of the people and their values. I also love all the focus on being active and getting outside.

Update: We got a BFN on our final injectable IUI cycle last week. We had an IVF consult on Friday and are now trying to decide if we want to do IVF or move on to adoption.
QOTW: Our town has lots of beautiful big, old trees. It's really lovely here spring-fall.
Update: IUI#3 was yesterday. Now I try to survive the 2WW.
QOTW: What is something you like about your city / town?
I love the proximity to the mountains and the fact that we are surrounded by water. It's beautiful, and green year round (one of the benefits of all that rain). Summers are gorgeous, and more than make up for the miserable gray winters. It's home... I've lived here since I was 15, and it's the only place I can imagine living. Except Montana... I could live in Montana (but not Butte! Sorry you are stuck there AndieD!)
