You mentioned that your brother cut out MSG. I've read about the link with migraines, but I wanted to try cutting out artificial sweeteners and colors first because MSG is in EVERYTHING and there's no requirement to label it. Even foods that say "No MSG" can have glutamic acid, which is the same thing.
How does he avoid MSG? Does he avoid all processed food? Do you know how long it took for him to stop getting headaches after he eliminated MSG?
It would be really inconvenient to cut out all processed foods, but my migraines have become so debilitating that I'm willing to give it a try. I just hope ti works!

He didn't answer when I called him to ask him about it, but from what I remember, he hasn't cut out all processed foods, but he does avoid eating foods that have what seems to be a higher amount. He doesn't eat stuffing, certain foods and certain fast foods and is more careful about looking at labels now. Once he stopped, the headaches disappeared fairly quick. He still gets migraines from time to time, I think he's just always had migraines, but watching the amount of MSG things have has helped tremendously.
I totally understand not wanting to cut out all foods, it would be really frustrating. I will let you know if I get a hold of my brother and what he says about msg. Good luck! Hope the little bit I did remember has helped!
